Even if the distance between the drawing mechanism and the drawing mechanism is short, the towel cloth between the cutting blade and the drawing mechanism becomes sufficiently long. Furthermore, a sufficiently large tension can be applied to the pressed towel cloth. Further, since the pressing members for pressing down the long towel cloth have their contact portions widened in the moving direction of the long towel cloth, the towel length increases even if the pressing down size is small.

After that, at point C, the setting member 72 rises to release the holding of the long towel cloth 1 and the drawer mechanism 40 moves leftward to return to the drawing position, and the gripper 43 draws out the long towel cloth 1. Next, at the point D, the straightening device 58 descends, and the pressing members 65, 65 move the long towel cloth 1 to the 11th position.
As shown, the long towel cloth 1 on the frame 3 is moved to the left by pushing down. Next, when the dog 56 turns on the deceleration switch 57 at point E, the descending speed of the piston rod 47b is decelerated, and the long towel cloth 1
Movement speed decreases. When the long towel cloth 1 is moved to the left, the length measuring roller 31 is rotated, and the photo sensor 37 detects the detected portion 36a and transmits a pulse signal. Further, when the long towel cloth 1 under the length measuring roller 31 at the point F changes from the pile weave portion 1a having a large thickness dimension in FIG. 3 to the plain weave portion 1b having a small thickness dimension in FIG. 5, the length measuring roller 31 moves to the fifth length. In the state shown in the figure, the detected object 32 approaches the proximity sensor 38, and the proximity sensor 38 outputs an ON signal. After that, when the long towel cloth 1 under the length measuring roller 31 is changed to the next pile woven portion 1a at the point G, the object 32 is moved away from the proximity sensor 38 again as shown in FIG. The output of the sensor 38 becomes an OFF signal.

い。Next, the control device uses the photo sensor 37.
Based on the pulse signal of the sensor and the ON signal of the proximity sensor 38, the pulse signal being transmitted is counted, the length in the passing direction of the plain weave portion 1b is calculated based on the counted number, and then the moving cylinder at the point H By operating 23, the distance between the cutting blade 5 and the receiving portion 17a is adjusted to be approximately half the length of the plain weave portion 1b calculated by the above calculation, as shown in FIG. The control device controls the operation of each element according to the flowchart of the positioning program shown in FIG. First, the plain weave portion 1b is used as the length measuring roller 3
When it is confirmed by the count number of the pulse signal that the pile weaving section 1a has moved the position of the length measuring roller 31 by about 100 mm after passing the 1 position, the upper positioning piece 17 descends at the point I as shown in FIG. In this case, the receiving part 1
The distance between 5a and 17a and the length measuring roller 31 is approximately 150 mm.
The long towel cloth 1 is set to the pile weave part 1
Since "a" has moved from the position of the length measuring roller 31 by about 100 mm and the plain weave portion 1b has a length of about 70 mm, the pile weave portion 1a does not remain between the receiving portions 15a and 17a.

ことができる。Next, the support frame 50 of the pressing mechanism 46 is lowered to the lowest position so that the pressing members 65, 65 move the long towel cloth 1 to the twelfth position.
As shown in the figure, the movable frame 61 is elastically pushed so that the biasing spring 6
When 3 is compressed and moved to the side of the support frame 50, the dog 60a operates the correction confirmation switch 68 at the point J. After that, the straightening brake 48 is activated at the point K by the actuation signal of the straightening confirmation switch 68 to lock the piston rod 47b. As described above, when the pressing members 65, 65 elastically press the long towel cloth 1 as shown in FIG. 12, the boundary portion 1c of the long towel cloth 1 is moved to the sixth position.
As shown in the figure, the long towel cloth 1 is stopped from moving to the left by being brought into contact with the receiving portions 15a and 17a. in this case,
Since each of the pressing members 65, 65 elastically presses a portion obtained by dividing the width of the long towel cloth 1 into a plurality of parts, each pressing member 6
Reference numerals 5 and 65 respectively press the corresponding width portions of the long towel cloth 1 by the elastic force of the leaf springs 64, and individually pull out the corresponding width portions of the long towel cloth 1. Therefore, even if the boundary portion 1c of the long towel cloth 1 is distorted obliquely with respect to the receiving portions 15a and 17a as shown in FIG. 13, the elastic deformation amount of each leaf spring 64 as shown in FIG. However, the boundary portion 1c can be brought into contact with the receiving portions 15a and 17a over the entire width and aligned in a straight line.

It is confirmed by a pulse signal that the position of the length measuring roller 31 has moved by approximately 50 mm after the pile woven portion 1a of the long towel cloth 1 has moved by approximately 100 mm. That is, the boundary 1
Confirm that c has arrived at the catch. Then, after a lapse of a short time, for example, 0.5 seconds, after the correction brake 48 is activated, the set member 72 is lowered at the point L to receive the receiving frame 7
The plain weave portion 1b is clamped between 0 and so as not to move.
In the above case, when the above confirmation is not made at the time when the switch 68 is operated, the boundary portion 1c has the receiving portion 15a,
Since it is not in contact with 17a (not reached or passed), an error is displayed and the operation of the cutting device is stopped. After the above confirmation, the movable blade 7 is temporarily lowered at the point M to cut the plain weave portion 1b.

Since the distance between the plain weave portion 1a and the plain weave portion 1b is adjusted to be approximately half the length of the plain weave portion 1b, the cutting blade 5 cuts the plain weave portion 1b at a substantially central position of the length. Then, at point N, the operation of the straightening brake 48 is released, the piston rod 47b is raised, and the straightening device 58 is returned to the position shown in FIG. After that, the grip portion 43 is released at point O to release the grip of the long towel cloth 1, and the cut towel cloth is dropped downward. After that, positioning piece 1 at point P
7 is raised to end the series of operating cycles. After that, by repeating the above operation cycle, the long towel cloth 1 is cut one after another at a substantially central position of the length of the plain weave portion 1b.

ができる。As described above, since the long towel cloth 1 is always cut at the substantially central position of the length of the plain weave portion 1b, there is a dimensional error in the length of each plain weave portion 1b due to the above reasons. Even in some cases, the dimensional error can be evenly distributed to the front and rear short towel cloths, and as a result, the dimensional error of the plain weave portion at both ends of the short towel cloth can be kept within the allowable range, and the defective rate of the towel can be reduced. Can be lowered.
