Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a packing device which dispenses with a handle used as an accessory so as to serve for lowering the cost and protecting the environment and furthermore to be applicable to recycling by providing an extension with a handhole to a flap of a packing box. CONSTITUTION:An insertion slit 18b which is substantially rectangular is provided in the middle at the base end of each of a pair of upper and lower flaps 18. An extension 19 with a handhole 25 at the forward end is provided in the middle of each of another pair of upper and lower flaps 16. Between the base end of the extension 19 and the handhole 25 with respect to each extension a stopping piece 23 which is substantially a U-shaped projection is provided in an alternate arrangement with the other. A first bending line 22 contiguous to the stopping piece 23 and a second bending line 21 are also provided in each extension 19. After closing the bottom of the packing device, a product for packing is placed in a state of lying therein. The extensions 19 are passed respectively through the insertion slits 18 and the top side is closed. The extensions 19 are bent at the second bending line 21 and the first bending line 22 and the stopping pieces 23 are made to hold each other with the result that extension faces 24 are put together firmly to jointly form their handhole 25. This constitution enables dispensing with a handle used as an accessory, offers an advantage in point of cost, is applicable to recycling, and contributes to environmental protection.
