As shown in Japanese Patent No. 48447, a colorant and a melting agent hardened with water glass (called pellet) are known.

This color frit produces granules of dark colored glass in advance, and adds this to the feeder to produce colored glass. Therefore, a dark colored glass production facility is required, which has the drawback of increasing costs. It was

On the other hand, since pellets are obtained by solidifying a melting agent and a coloring agent with water glass, the production equipment can be simple equipment, the cost is low, and the mass production is suitable, so that the adoption is increasing in recent years.

However, since the pellets are a mass of glass raw material as described above, the pellets are not in a satisfactory state in terms of problems in storage and handling, melting, and the like.

As a problem in storage and handling, when hexavalent chromium is used as a coloring agent, dust in the pellets is inevitable. Therefore, as a countermeasure for harmful substances, capital investment in safety measures is required and management is also required. It requires a lot of work.
Therefore, the applicant of the present application proposes, in a pellet using chromium, to frit the chromium component to form a pellet containing chromium-containing frit + melting agent + colorant + water glass (binder) as Japanese Patent Application No. 1-186369. I applied for it.

In addition, in the problem of melting, pellets have insufficient meltability because raw materials are fed into the feeder.
I used some frits. The low melting point glass using this frit usually contains a large amount of Al 2 O 3 and K 2 O because feldspar is used as a raw material in order to improve the melting efficiency. Therefore, in the pellet composition using frit,
A large amount of Al 2 O 3 and K 2 O will be contained.

If the pellet composition contains a large amount of K 2 O, its volatilization rate will extremely increase during melting, and at the same time, the volatilization amount of hexavalent chromium will also increase, and these will adhere to the feeder refractory, especially hexavalent chromium. Changes into trivalent chromium and drops into the glass in the feeder to promote the generation of "stone" which is a product defect.

Further, when a large amount of Al 2 O 3 is contained in the pellet composition, the chromium that is temporarily dissolved in the pellet during melting is recrystallized and a plate-like Cr 2 O 3 crystal is precipitated, and this crystal is hardly soluble. Yes, it causes the "stone" of product defects.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The present invention has been completed with the object of solving the above-mentioned problems, that is, the melting property of color feeder coloring pellets and the "stone" of product defects caused thereby. It was.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides SiO 2 —B 2 O 3
In colorants for color feeders that mainly contain Na 2 O-based components, if K 2 O is less than 0.8% and Cr 2 O 3 is 1.5% or more, the content of Al 2 O 3 is The present invention has been solved by developing a colored pellet composition for a color feeder, which is characterized by being less than 1.5%, and the present application was filed.

Here, K 2 O was set to less than 0.8% because pellets composed of low-melting glass, water glass, and coloring agent (chromium oxide powder) have the following chemical composition: SiO 2 50% (wt. % Same as below), B 2 O 3 15%, Na 2 O 20%, Al
2 O 3 0.5%, CaO 4%, Cr 2 O 3 10.5%, and Na 2 O were partially replaced with K 2 O, and the temperature dependence of the volatilization amount was measured by differential thermal analysis of each pellet. This is because it was found that the K 2 O content of 0.8% or more drastically increased the volatilization amount of the pellet component.

Content of Al 2 O 3 when Cr 2 O 3 content is 1.5% or more
Less than 1.5% is a pellet composed of low-melting glass, water glass, and coloring agent (chromium oxide powder), whose chemical composition excluding coloring agent is as follows: SiO 2 56% (wt% or less) Same), B 2 O 3 17%, Na 2 O 22%, Al
2 O 3 0.5%, CaO 4.5%, part of SiO 2 was replaced with Al 2 O 3 , and a pellet containing chromium oxide powder with an average particle size of 5μ was added to 12
After melting at 65 ° C for 20 minutes, the presence of plate crystals of chromium oxide remaining in the melt was examined. As a result, Cr 2 O 3
This is because when the content of Al 2 O 3 is 1.5% or more, the content of Al 2 O 3 needs to be less than 1.5%.

In a similar experiment, it was discovered that the higher the melting temperature and the longer the melting time, the more the plate-like crystals tend to grow and become larger.
