In the conventional molding method as shown in FIGS. 4 to 7, the fin base portion 71 of the molding portion M is flush with the fin base portion 70 of the extrusion molding portion. Since the groove 20 for close fitting of the fin base portion 70 of the lower mold 10 has the same cross-sectional shape through the molding die, the cut line xx of the extrusion molding portion varies and the cut base portion is formed. If the protruding dimension a of 70 is not uniform, the connecting surface between the end surface E 1 or E 2 of the extrusion-molded portion and the die-molded portion M does not follow the set shape, or, for example, the dimension a becomes smaller than the set value. In this case, a gap is formed between the bottom surface of the groove 20 of the lower mold and the cut surface 8, and the molding material flows into the fin base 70 of the extrusion molding portion during molding.

If the cut lines xx of the fins 7 at both ends of the weather strip are set in accordance with the intermediate reference line L between the bottom surface 2a and the top surface 2b of the groove 2 of the lower mold 1, the cuts of the fins 7 will vary. Even if there is, there is a problem that the cut surface 8 of the fin base 70 is caught by the groove bottom portion 2a to form a gap between the mounting surface s of the weather strip body 5 and the mounting portion 3 of the lower mold 1,
The occurrence of any one of the problem of forming a gap between the end surface of the fin base 70 and the partition wall 2E of the groove 2 can be maintained at the minimum probability. That is, the cut surface 8 may theoretically be located below the top surface 2b and above the bottom surface 2a.
