切削方法を使用してクラッド母材bを製作すると、材料
の一部が切り粉になる無駄があるのみならず、溝aの底
面の厚みが比較的薄くその幅が比較的広いものは切削に
より簡単に製作することが出来ず、また底面の円滑性に
欠けて板厚精度が悪い不都合がある。この不都合は、金
型装置dによる圧延方法を使用すれば解消できる。この
圧延方法は特公昭52−36512号公報に開示されて
おり、図3および図4に示したような成形部iを有する
金型eの板面fに長尺金属材gを当接させ、該板面fの
範囲に押圧ロールhを転動させると共にその転動の完了
毎に該長尺金属材gをクランプ等の移動手段jにより一
定距離を移動することを繰り返すと、該長尺金属材gを
例えば図1のような溝aを有するクラッド母材bに材料
を無駄にすることなく成形することができる。

に肉厚部を形成できると共に溝が浅く段差が少ない場合
でも寸法精度の良い溝を形成できる。
