Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a fire-resistant and heat insulating protective material constituted by bonding aluminum foil to the surface of a knitted fabric composed of fire-resistant and heat insulating synthetic resin yarn or applying special heat-resistant paint thereto. CONSTITUTION: A fire-resistant and heat insulating protective material is constituted of a bag-shaped element 11 having heat and fire resistance and the water- containing water absorbable polymer 12 sealed in the bag-shaped element 11. The bag-shaped element 11 having heat and fire resistance is constituted by bonding aluminum foil to a knitted fabric composed of synthetic resin yarn having heat and fire resistance or thermally welding or bonding the end edge parts of a pair of refractory sheets 13 coated with special heat-resistant paint. By this constitution, a protective material provided with fire resistance and heat insulating properties, capable of being prevented from the melt damage caused by the welding of a synthetic resin piping and having a wide applied range also adaptable as a material of fire clothing or a fire hood is obtained.

明は、重ねるように配置した一対のシートにおいて、一
方を耐熱・耐火性の合成樹脂糸による布部材の表面に、
特殊耐熱性塗料を塗布した構成とし、他方を耐熱性樹脂
フイルムによって構成し、これらシートおよび耐熱性樹
脂フイルム間に水を含んだ吸水性ポリマーを介在させて
シート端縁部を防水処理すべく接合構成したことを特徴
