Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the fitting/removal of joints provided over the whole length of the belt width of a conveyor belt and prevent foreign matter from being retained at a connecting part by fitting parallel protruding streak parts and recessed streak parts to each other for connection. CONSTITUTION: In joints 2 provided at both longitudinal ends of a conveyor belt, over the hole length of belt width, protruding streak parts 3 are provided at the respective tips, recessed parts 4 of such shape that the other mate protruding streak parts are engaged with them in close contact are provided slightly inward, parallel with the protruding streak parts 3, and joint parts 8 are provided at the respective other ends. The joints 2 are respectively jointed to the end parts of the belt by heat welding or the like, upward at one end of the belt and downward at the other end. The protruding streak part 3 of each joint 2 is formed into mushroom shape with approximately triangular cross section at the tip and having a bulge part 5, while the recessed streak part 4 is formed of a recessed part 6 into which the other party protruding part is fitted, and a hook claw part 7 with which the other party bulge part 5 is engaged. When the belt is made into ring shape and the protruding streak part 3 and recessed streak part 4 are pressed, the bulge part 5 is locked by the hook claw part 7.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, automation has progressed also in the field of food processing, and processed foods are sequentially conveyed by a belt conveyor and processed. The belt conveyors used to convey these foods and the like need to be kept clean in terms of food hygiene, and in particular, the conveyor belts that have a high degree of direct contact with foods need to be washed frequently. In such a case, it is necessary to wash the back surface of the belt as well, but since the conventional conveyor belt is generally endlessly bonded by an adhesive or the like by an overlap type or a finger type, it is configured as an endless belt. It was not easy to remove and clean only the conveyor, and the conveyor itself had to be disassembled to remove the belt.

For this reason, metal fittings, such as clipper hooks, are tightly attached over the entire width of the joining ends of the belt so that the joining ends are fitted to each other, and a metal rod is fitted to the fitting portions. The belt can be easily attached and detached by a joint which is inserted through and connected to make an endless state, or a joint which is connected by a so-called fastener to make an endless state (for example, see Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 57-200742). Things have been proposed.

However, in the former case, it is necessary to separately attach metal fittings to the respective joint ends of the belt, which requires a great deal of labor and cost for processing, and both joint ends of the belt are fitted together. Therefore, it takes a lot of time and labor to insert the metal rod into the portion and join the metal rod, and it is not always suitable when the belt is frequently attached and detached due to the necessity of cleaning. Also, the latter fastener is relatively easy to attach and detach the belt itself, but the structure is complicated and it takes time and cost to manufacture it, and it is necessary to separately sew the fastener member to the belt end portion. There was also a problem with durability such as the yarn being cut. Furthermore, in both cases, since the structure of the joint part is complicated and a gap is created between the joint fittings, foreign matters such as scraps of processed foods tend to accumulate in the joint parts, and there is a problem in hygiene. Since a large step is formed between the roller and the belt, there is a problem that the roller portion periodically vibrates during the rotation operation.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In view of the above situation, the present invention makes it extremely easy to join and release a belt in an endless state, and to easily remove the belt from the conveyor. In addition to enabling easy cleaning, the joints are joined together without any gaps to prevent accumulation of foreign matter such as food residue, and the structure is simpler and easier to manufacture and the steps during joining are reduced. An object of the present invention is to provide a conveyor belt joint suitable for a belt conveyor of a food line or the like.

When the joints of the present invention having the above-mentioned structure are pressed against each other, the triangular portions are fitted into the recesses 6 so as to spread the respective hooks 7 of the other side.
After the fitting, the bulging portion 5 is locked by the hook 7 of the other party.
In that case, the tensile force of the conveyor belt acts in a direction intersecting with the fitting direction, so that the joint cannot be easily detached, and the joint is connected in an endless state with a strong joining force. Further, when the joints are slightly shifted to the left and right at the fitting portion and one end is pulled, the elasticity of the material causes the opening of the hook claw portion 7 to be expanded and the bulging portion 5 to be disengaged sequentially, so that the belts can be easily connected. It can be canceled.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of a conveyor belt joint according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a conveyor belt main body having a predetermined length and width according to the work content. Reference numeral 2 is a joint provided at both ends in the longitudinal direction of the conveyor belt over the entire length of the belt width, and a ridge portion 3 is provided at a tip end thereof, and in parallel with this, a ridge portion of the opposite side is closely engaged. The concave streak 4 having the shape described above is provided, and the joint 8 is provided at the other end. The joints are joined to each other in a loop shape by joining the belts at one end of the belt upwards and at the other end downwards to the belt end portions by heat welding or the like. With this, the belt becomes an endless state, and the belt can be installed on the conveyor to perform the conveyor work. The joint 2 is integrally formed of a thermoplastic synthetic resin such as polyurethane or vinyl chloride, and the fitting portion has a ridge portion whose cross section has a substantially triangular tip as shown in FIG. Mushroom-shaped with protruding part 5,
On the other hand, the concave line portion is composed of a concave portion 6 into which the triangular portion of the above-mentioned convex line portion of the other side is fitted, and a hook claw portion 7 with which the bulging portion 5 of the other side is engaged. Then, when the belt is made into a ring shape and the joints are made to face each other, and the convex ridges 3 and the concave ridges 4 are pressed against each other, the hooks 7 are elastically opened and the triangular portions are fitted into the concaves 6. After that, the bulged portion 5 is locked by the hook portion 7. In that case, the pulling force of the conveyor belt acts in a direction intersecting with the fitting direction, so that the projecting ridge portion 3 is not easily pulled out by the pulling force, and the connection is not disconnected during the conveyor work. Also,
When cleaning becomes necessary, the joints are moved to the left and right at the fitting portion and one end is pulled up, the hook claw portion 7 opens from the end due to the elasticity of the material and the bulging portion 5 is engaged. The belts can be removed one after another and the connection of the belts can be easily released, and cleaning work can be done easily by removing them from the conveyor.

The joint according to the present invention is, as shown in FIG. 1, molded separately from synthetic resin, and the joint end 8 is joined to the end of the conveyor belt by heat welding or other known method. In addition, it is also possible to form the end portion of the belt integrally with the belt. In addition, although an example in which both ends of one belt are connected is shown in the present embodiment, it is also possible to connect a plurality of belt pieces having joints to both ends thereof in a chain to form an endless conveyor belt. is there.

As described above, in the joint of the conveyor belt according to the present invention, the parallel convex ridges and the parallel ridges are fitted to each other. In addition, since it is connected in a direction that intersects the traveling direction of the belt and is connected in parallel at at least two places, it has a strong pulling force in the traveling direction, and the connection is disconnected during work and the work is interrupted. There is no fear of being punished. Further, since it is tightly connected over the entire length of the belt width, there is no fear that food wastes and foreign matters will be accumulated in the connected portion, and it is extremely hygienic, and is particularly suitable as a conveyor belt for a food line conveying line. Also, because the structure is simple and it can be integrally formed with synthetic resin material, it can be manufactured at extremely low cost, and it can be easily joined to the resinous belt by heat fusion etc. It is an invention of extremely high utility value, such as the fact that only a few occur.
