After rooting to some extent, the scion A absorbs water from the root a extending into the soil floor 2, so that the scion A will die immediately even if the soil bed 2 is low in water. However, since the roots do not absorb water before rooting, especially in the high temperature season of summer, when the water content in the soil bed 2 becomes low, the scion A dies immediately.

Next, a tree growing method using the above growing apparatus will be described. In this growing method, as shown in FIG. 1, the cutting vessel 10 is provided with a water storage tray 10 at the bottom thereof.
A soil floor 20 with good drainage is made from inside a above it (near the upper edge of the box 10), and a cutting area of this soil floor 20,
That is, the scion A is cut and inserted into the area above the drainage port 11. The soil floor 20 is made of well-drained soil such as Kanuma soil, but the soil floor of the water storage tray 10a may be made by mixing well-drained soil with small stones.

In this growing method, the cutting container 10
Since water is always stored in the water storage tray 10a at the bottom of the tank and the water is sucked up to the soil floor 20, it is necessary to always contain sufficient water in the soil floor 20 without using nerves for watering. Can be kept.

On the other hand, common knowledge in the horticultural industry is that if roots of soil-planting plants are soaked in water for a long period of time, root rot will occur. Therefore, all commercially available flower pots have drained water at the bottom. It is said that holes are provided to prevent water from accumulating inside, and even in the conventional tree growing method shown in FIG. 5, the water inside the cutting container is used by using a bottomless wooden frame. It is soaked in the ground to prevent water from accumulating inside the cutting container.

On the contrary, in the growing method of the above-mentioned embodiment, the cutting vessel 10 having the water tray 10a at the bottom is used, but the maximum water level stored in the water tray 10a of the cutting vessel 10 is Excessive water exceeding the allowable storage amount is regulated by being drained to the outside from the drainage port 11, and the soil floor 20 formed in the cutting container 10 has a spike on the portion above the drainage port 11. Since A is inserted, the scion A will not be soaked in the water in the water storage tray 10a and be spoiled.

Therefore, according to the above-mentioned growing method, the scion A can be rooted with a high probability. In addition, when the scion A is grown under the open air, the cutting container 1
Since rainwater permeates into the soil floor 20 in 0, the amount of water entering the water storage tray 10a is larger than the amount of water supplied from the water supply system 16, but the length and number of the drainage ports 11 are set so as to obtain a sufficient amount of drainage. By so doing, the water level in the water storage tray 10a will not rise above the drainage port 11 and the spike A will not be submerged in the water. However, when the amount of rainfall is extremely large, it is desirable to adjust the water amount adjusting valve 19 to reduce the amount of water supplied from the water supply system 16 or to temporarily stop the water supply.

When roots A start rooting, among the roots a that extend from the root A into the soil floor 20, the tip of the root that extends downward enters the water tray 10a and becomes water. It may be soaked, but by that time, the spikelets A have been fully rooted, so during the period when the tip of the root is submerged in water, remove the rooted spikelets A from the cuttings container 10. Since it takes a very short time to plant trees, root rot hardly occurs even when the tip of the root is immersed in the water in the water storage tray 10a.

As shown in FIG. 1, a water-permeable root stop sheet made of a resin film or the like, which is located slightly above the drainage port 11 in the soil floor 20 and is provided with a large number of water passage holes. If 21 is laid (layed when the soil floor 20 is made), the root a emerging from the spike A will not enter the soil floor portion in the water storage tray 10a and be submerged in water.

Moreover, in the above growing method, the water tank 17
Since water is automatically supplied from the water supply system 16 equipped with the water to the water storage tray 10a at the bottom of the cutting container 10, constant watering of the soil floor 20 in the cutting container 10 is completely unnecessary. Therefore, the labor required for watering the soil floor 20 can be reduced.

Further, in the above embodiment, the water is automatically supplied to the water storage tray 10a at the bottom of the cuttings container 10, but the water is supplied to the water storage tray 10a manually.
Alternatively, the water may be supplied from above to flow into the water storage tray 10a.

In that case, the amount of water accumulated in the water storage tray 10a decreases as the water is sucked up into the soil floor 20, but when the cutting container 10 is supplied with water, the water is drained from the drainage port 11. Until the water overflows, that is, if the water is fully filled in the water storage tray 10a, even in the high temperature summer,
Since the water is stored in the water storage tray 10a for several days, the next water supply may be performed during that time, so there is no need to water the water every day.

According to the tree growing method of the present invention, water is always stored in the water tray at the bottom of the cutting vessel,
Since the water is sucked up to the soil floor, it is possible to always have sufficient water in the soil floor without using the nerves for watering, and the water stored in the water storage tray. The maximum water level is regulated by the excess water drained from the drainage part, and the cuttings are cut because the cuttings are cut into the part above the drainage part of the soil floor created in the cutting container. It is not soaked in water in the water storage dish and rotted, and therefore the scion can be rooted with a high probability.
