The image receiving sheet portion 9 is a portion to be detached from the support portion 8 and attached to various articles after transfer image recording, and the image receiving layer 6 is provided on the sheet base material 5, and the back surface of the base material 5 is provided. In addition, an adhesive layer 4 is provided to allow the desired article to be attached to the surface thereof.

A polyethylene terephthalate film is most preferably used as the sheet base material 5, but a resin film made of hard vinyl chloride, acryl, vinylidene chloride, polyolefin or the like can also be used.

The sheet base material 5 may be a transparent material made of the above-mentioned material, or a light-shielding material in which a white pigment such as titanium, calcium carbonate or zinc oxide is kneaded. Further, as the sheet base material 5, a light-shielding sheet such as synthetic paper or natural paper can be used. The base material 5 has a thickness of 10 to 200 μm.

The image-receiving layer 6 is a layer that receives the dye transferred from the thermal transfer sheet due to heating during transfer recording, and its material has been conventionally used for forming an image-receiving layer of this type of thermal transfer sheet. Any material can be used as long as it is present, and examples thereof include saturated polyester resin, polyacrylic ester resin, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, polystyrene resin, polyamide resin, etc., which may be used alone or in combination. Further, a release agent layer for imparting good releasability from the thermal transfer sheet can be provided on the surface of the image receiving layer 6. The release agent layer can be formed by including the release agent in the material having a good compatibility with the above-mentioned image-receiving layer forming material, and the release agent layer having a poor compatibility can receive the release agent. It can be formed by applying thinly on the layer surface. As the release agent, silicone oil (for example, combined use of epoxy-modified silicone and amino-modified silicone), fluorine-based or phosphate-based surfactant, and the like can be used.

Examples of the material of the adhesive layer 4 include polyacrylic acid ester, acrylic copolymer, natural rubber, synthetic rubber, petroleum resin and block copolymers such as SIS and SBR. If necessary, an adhesive reinforcing agent, a plasticizer, a filler, etc. may be added to the above adhesive.

On the other hand, the support portion 8 provided below the image receiving sheet portion 9 is composed of a release sheet 2 and a release layer 3 formed on the sheet 2.

Cellulose fiber paper is used as the release sheet 2, and specifically, high quality paper, coated paper, art paper, cast coated paper, processed paper impregnated / coated or internally added with synthetic resin or rubber, etc. Can be used.

The release layer 3 is mainly composed of polymethylsiloxy acid or the like so that the release sheet 2 can be easily released from the image receiving sheet portion 9 (specifically, between the adhesive layer 4 and the release layer 3). It is formed using a silicone-based mold release agent such as

In manufacturing the thermal transfer sheet 1 of the present invention having the above-described laminated structure, first, the release layer 3 is provided on the release sheet 2 to form the support portion 8, and separately on the sheet substrate 5. The image receiving layer 6 is provided on the base material 5, and the adhesive layer 4 is provided on the lower surface of the base material 5 to form the image receiving sheet portion 9. After that, the release layer 3 and the adhesive layer 4 are made to face each other, and the support portion 8 and the image receiving sheet portion are provided. Laminate 9.

As shown in FIG. 1, the thermal transfer sheet 1 of the present invention has a cut line 7 which penetrates through all the layers constituting the sheet portion 9 at a predetermined position of the image receiving sheet portion 9 having a layered structure of a laminated structure. Half-cut processing is performed. In this half-cutting process, the image receiving sheet portion 9 is sectioned by providing the notch line 7 and the desired transfer image is recorded in the sectioned region, and thereafter, it is surrounded by the notch line 7 as shown in FIG. This is to enable the image receiving sheet portion 9 in the section to be accurately and easily separated from the support portion 8. Therefore, the cut lines 7 are provided at predetermined positions of the image receiving sheet portion 9 according to the transferred image to be recorded, and the number of cut lines, the type of line, the drawing shape of the line, etc. are appropriately set. The half-cutting treatment is usually performed by controlling the depth of penetration using a commercially available punching machine after laminating the heat transferable sheet.

The thermal transfer sheet 1 of the present invention can be provided with an intermediate layer having a cushioning property between the sheet substrate 5 and the image receiving layer 6, and when this intermediate layer is provided, noise is reduced and image information is displayed. Corresponding images can be transferred and recorded with good reproducibility. Examples of the material forming the intermediate layer include urethane resin, acrylic resin, ethylene resin, butadiene rubber, and epoxy resin. The thickness of the intermediate layer is preferably 2 to 20 μm.

Further, the heat transferable sheet 1 of the present invention can be provided with a writing treatment layer 10 at a predetermined position on the image receiving layer 6 as shown in FIG. The writing treatment layer 10 is a layer on which writing with a pencil, a ballpoint pen, a fountain pen or the like and other imprinting can be performed. By providing the layer 10, the image receiving layer 6 is conventionally a resin film surface. Therefore, what was impossible to write or imprint is overcome, and comments can be freely written on the layer. The writing treatment layer 10 is formed using a mixture of a resin such as hydroxyethyl cellulose, polyvinyl acetate, a styrene-maleic acid copolymer, or an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer with calcium carbonate, silica, clay or the like.

It is also possible to provide a detection mark on the thermal transfer sheet of the present invention. The detection mark is extremely convenient when positioning the thermal transfer sheet and the thermal transfer sheet, and for example, a detection mark that can be detected by the photoelectric tube detection device can be provided on the back surface of the release sheet 2 by printing or the like. By providing this detection mark, when the thermal transfer sheet of each color is used to perform the overlapping transfer, the alignment can be accurately performed, and as a result, a color image with good reproducibility can be obtained.

The heat transferable sheet of the present invention may contain an antistatic agent on the back surface of the release sheet 2. By including the antistatic agent, it is possible to make the sheets slip more smoothly and to prevent the adhesion of dust or the like on the heat transfer target sheet. The antistatic agent may be contained in the release sheet 2 or the image receiving layer 6, or may be provided as an antistatic agent layer on the back surface of the release sheet 2 or the like, but provided on the back surface of the release sheet 2 as an antistatic agent layer. It is preferable.

Further, the heat transferable sheet of the present invention may be provided with a slipping layer on the back surface of the release sheet 2. The thermal transfer sheets are stacked and sent out one by one to perform transfer. At this time, if a slippery layer is provided, the sheets will slide smoothly, and each sheet will be accurately transferred one by one due to the antistatic treatment described above. You can take it out. Examples of the slippery layer include a methacrylate resin such as methylmethacrylate or a corresponding acrylate resin, a vinyl resin such as a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, and the like.

In actually using the heat-transferable sheet 1 of the present invention having the above-mentioned configuration, the dye in the color material layer of the heat-transfer sheet is combined with the heat-transfer sheet and the dye in the color material layer of the heat-transfer sheet receives the image on the heat-transferable sheet 1. A transfer image is formed on the heat-transferred sheet 1 by moving to the layer 6, and thereafter, the image-receiving sheet portion 9 is moved from the support portion 8 along the cut line 7 by the half-cut processing as shown in FIG. It is peeled off, and then, as shown in FIG. 3, it is completely detached from the support portion 8, and the image receiving sheet portion 9 having a transfer image 11 having a predetermined shape is attached to a desired adherend 12. The adherend 12 may be any article as long as it can be adhered.

【0024】[0024]

[Effect of device]

As described above, since the heat-transferable sheet of the present invention is subjected to the half cut treatment at the predetermined portion of the image receiving sheet portion, the desired transfer image is formed in the area (division) formed by the cut line by this treatment. In this case, the image receiving sheet portion can be accurately and easily peeled from the support portion along the score line, and as a result, the image receiving sheet portion recording the transfer image of the desired pattern is divided from the heat transfer sheet. It has an excellent effect that the separated image receiving sheet portion can be easily attached to various articles.

If an image is recorded only on a part of the heat transfer sheet and no image is formed in the blank area, half-cut processing is performed at the boundary between the image forming area and the blank area. By performing (that is, providing a score line), after image recording, only the image recording portion of the heat transfer sheet can be separated from the support portion for storage, and the storage space can be reduced. There are advantages.

The thermal transfer sheet of the present invention is roughly divided into a support part and an image receiving sheet part. Therefore, the thermal transfer sheet is mechanically strengthened by the support part during image recording. It has good runnability on the other hand, but after image recording, it is detached from the support part and the layer thickness becomes thinner than that with the support part. Therefore, there is an effect that it is excellent in sticking suitability (for example, even if the adherend has a curved surface, the sticking can be adapted to the surface).
