Abstract

PURPOSE:To further reduce the weight and cost of an air conditioner by molding a panel and a bellmouth into one piece with a plastic in terms of an air conditioner where a heat exchanger and a propeller fan are installed inside an equipment housing and a bellmouth is installed to an air outlet installed to a panel opposed to the propeller fan. CONSTITUTION:An outdoor unit for a separation type air conditioner is provided with an equipment casing which comprises a front panel 20, a top panel 21, a rear panel 23, a side panel 24 and a base panel 25. A plastic-made blow off grille 28 is mounted to the front of the front panel 20. In this equipment easing, the front panel 20 and a bellmouth 26 are one piece-molded with a plastic where a propeller fan 27 is installed in such a fashion that it may face an air outlet 29 limited by this bellmouth 26. This construction makes it possible to further reduce the weight of the equipment easing and minimize the number of components and hence manufacture the panels and the bellmouth at a lower cost as well.
