PURPOSE:To control erroneous mounting of parts and remainder of parts with a mounting machine employing different parts cassettes which is not practicable by conventional method where memories are provided to parts cassettes, and enable the control on kinds of parts and the remainder of parts. CONSTITUTION:Information about parts name, parts characteristics, remainder of parts, etc., is recorded in bar codes 2 provided to the bottom of a carrier tape 1, and by reading such information into a mounting machine, erroneous mounting of parts caused by mistakes in attaching the parts is prevented while precautions are given for running-out of stored parts.
