[Prior Art] FIG. 3 is a conceptual diagram of a system in which precipitation echo measurement by a weather radar is performed by a plurality of radars. In the figure, 1 and 2 are radars placed in different places, 3 and 4 are the observation range by each radar, 5 and 6 are the observable distances by each radar, and 7 is the obstruction of the radar line of sight such as mountains. A shielding object, 8 indicates a blank area of the radar 1. As shown in FIG. 3, when the precipitation area is measured by, for example, two radars, the observation range of each radar is a circle with a distance R centered on the radar. If there is an obstacle such as a mountain as shown by symbol 7 in the observation range of the radar 1, a blank area (unmeasurable region) as shown by symbol 8 is generated. Therefore, conventionally, as shown in this example, two radars are used for measurement, and the output signal of the radar 2 is used for the unmeasurable region.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, since the respective radars fixedly share the measurement range, when there is a difference in performance and there is precipitation data at the joint of the divided ranges, its quantitative value expression There was a problem that unnaturalness occurs.

FIG. 1 is a diagram showing an embodiment of the present invention, in which 9 is mesh data of the radar 1 and 10 is data of a mesh having the same address as the mesh of the radar 1 in the radar 2. Reference numeral 11 is a comparison circuit for judging the size of the mesh data 9 and 10 and is adapted to judge the size of the data in the same address mesh of the radars 1 and 2 for each mesh. The determined data is output as the output data 12.

In the device configured in this way, two radars 1, 2
The data within the entire range observed by is expressed in mesh units and input to the comparison circuit 11 in FIG. For data having the same address, the size of the data is determined, and the one with the larger result is output as the address. If the address is not the same, naturally only that data is output.

As a result, as shown in FIG. 2, when the blank area of the radar 1 caused by the mountain 7 within the observation range of the radar 1 is covered by the data of the radar 2, the areas are preliminarily divided by two radars and combined. A more natural expression is possible.

Although the above embodiments describe two radars,
By combining data from three or more radars, it becomes possible to more accurately understand the precipitation echo area and precipitation. Further, when the data collection altitude by each radar is changed by two or more radars, the intensity of precipitation data depending on the altitude can be grasped as the same plane without operating the elevation angle of the antenna.

As described above, according to the present invention, the data of the common area of the two or more radar output signals including the common area in the measurement range is selected by outputting the larger one of the output data of the respective radars. As a result, there is an effect that data collected by using a plurality of radars can be combined regardless of the difference in characteristics between the radars.
