Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a cable reel with which the whole component is made in a lightweight construction and the costs can be suppressed. CONSTITUTION:A cable reel concerned is so structured that a tape-form electric wire 3 is accommodated in spiral form in a housing equipped with an inner cylinder 1 and outer cylinder 2, and therein a relative rotation is absorbed by winding tight or loose of the electric wire 3. Its conductor should be high strength one having a tensile strength of 500 N/mm<2> or more, an elongation of 0.5% or more, and a spring limit value of 400N/mm<2>or more.

2. Description of the Related Art For example, when transmitting a signal between a steering wheel side and a vehicle body side of an automobile, a device as shown in FIG. 1 is used. That is, the tape electric wire is housed in a housing having an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder, and the rotation of the handle is absorbed by tightening and loosening the tape electric wire.

The weight reduction of automobile parts,
The demand for cost reduction has become stronger and stronger recently, and cable reels are no exception. In order to reduce the weight and cost of the cable reel, it is necessary to reduce the thickness of the tape wire, but for that purpose it is necessary to thin the conductor, and if normal tough pitch copper is used as the conductor to reduce the thickness. There is a problem that durability against repeated rotation is reduced.

[Means for Solving the Problems] If a conductor having a tensile strength of 500 N / mm 2 or more, an elongation of 0.5% or more, and a spring limit value of 400 N / mm 2 or more is used as a conductor of a tape electric wire, the rotation durability is improved even if the wall thickness is reduced. It was found that it did not decrease, and it was effective in reducing the weight and cost of the cable reel.

EXAMPLES Tape electric wires were prepared for each of the 14 types of conductors shown in Table 1. The tape electric wire was prepared by arranging 6 conductors each having a width of 1.0 mm in parallel at a pitch of 1.5 mm and laminating them from above and below with a polyester tape with an adhesive.
Using these tape electric wires, the movement of the tape electric wires on the cable reel was simulated and the rotation durability test was performed. The results are as shown in the rightmost column of Table 1.

As shown in Table 1, the tensile strength is 500 N / m.
m 2 or more, elongation 0.5% or more, spring limit value 400 N / m
When high-strength conductors No. 1 to No. 7 of m 2 or more are used, the rotation durability is good at 3 million times or more even if the conductor thickness is thinned to 0.1 mm to 0.03 mm. It has a remarkable effect on weight reduction and cost reduction of the cable reel.
