【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 乗員の下脚部を保護する曲げ強度を有す
る衝撃吸収体とその外側をなす表面板とからなるニーボ
ルスターにおいて、前記ニーボルスターの衝撃吸収体
は、その表面板の裏面に中空の補強リブを一体に形成し
た合成樹脂成形部材をなすことを特徴とするニーボルス
ター。
1. A knee bolster comprising a shock absorber having bending strength for protecting a lower leg portion of an occupant and a surface plate forming an outer side thereof, wherein the shock absorber of the knee bolster is hollow on the back surface of the face plate. A knee bolster characterized by forming a synthetic resin molded member integrally formed with a reinforcing rib.
【請求項2】 上記ニーボルスターの補強リブはその表
面板からの高さ寸法が端部に向って減少する鋭角の傾斜
をなすことを特徴とする請求項1記載のニーボルスタ
ー。
2. The knee bolster according to claim 1, wherein the reinforcing rib of the knee bolster is inclined at an acute angle so that the height dimension from the surface plate decreases toward the end.
【請求項3】 上記ニーボルスターの補強リブはその断
面が同表面板を底辺とする略正三角形をなすことを特徴
とする請求項1記載のニーボルスター。

【請求項4】 上記ニーボルスターの補強リブはその断
面が同表面板と平行な頂部を有する台形をなすことを特
徴とする請求項1記載のニーボルスター。
4. The knee bolster according to claim 1, wherein the reinforcing rib of the knee bolster has a trapezoidal cross section having a top portion parallel to the surface plate.
