[Prior art and its problems]

The waist molding has the basic function of sliding against the door glass to prevent rainwater from entering and reducing wind noise. Furthermore, the recent waist molding has a steady rest function that slides against the door glass in order to provide a steady rest function for the door glass, especially for a hard top type vehicle without a door frame when the door glass is fully closed. Those equipped are known. The applicant has proposed, as a waist molding having such a steady rest, a molding in which a hollow steady rest is integrally formed below an upper solid elastic lip (Japanese Patent Application No. 2-122842). ).

In this waist molding, the deflection load of the hollow steady rest can prevent the steady run of the door glass, and the sliding resistance at the time of raising and lowering the door glass is small. However, as a result of subsequent research, when the deflection load was increased to improve the steady-state effect of the door glass, the hollow steady rest of this waist molding was deformed when it slidably contacted the vertically moving door glass due to its hollow shape. It was found that an abnormal noise such as rubbing noise was generated.

[The purpose of the device]

Based on this awareness of the problem, the present invention improves the anti-sway effect of the door glass without increasing the deflection load in particular, and reduces the deformation at the time of relative sliding contact with the ascending / descending door glass to reduce the rustling noise. The purpose is to obtain a waist molding that can suppress the generation of abnormal noise.

[Outline of the Invention] The present invention has been completed as a result of research on the shape of the hollow steady rest that is in sliding contact with the glass. In the waist molding with a uniform cross-section mounted on the upper edge of the door panel, the door is It has a hollow steady rest made of an elastic material that makes elastic contact with the glass, and this hollow steady rest supports the contact surface that should come into contact with the door glass and the contact surface that supports this contact surface. It is located facing the back surface of the contact surface in the free state and the elastic support portion that gives the elastic force in the direction of the door glass. When the elastic support portion is deformed by the door glass, it contacts the back surface of the contact surface and supports it. It is characterized by having a supporting convex part that

It is preferable that the abutting surface is formed in a flat shape, and the elastic supporting portion projects from the molding body and an upper end portion of the abutting surface is formed so that an angle formed with the abutting surface is an acute angle. It is desirable to have an upper support part connected to the molding body, and a lower support part protruding from the molding body and connected to the lower end part of the contact surface in a bendable manner. As a result, when the abutting surface comes into contact with the door glass, the upper support portion falls toward the molding body side around the connecting portion with the molding body and the lower support portion is bent and deformed, and It is possible to allow movement in the direction of the support protrusion.

[Example of device]

The present invention will be described below with reference to the illustrated embodiments. As shown in FIG. 2, the door panel 11 of the passenger vehicle includes an outer panel 12 and a reinforcement 13. The arrow A side is the outdoor side and the B side is the indoor side, and the door glass 14 moves up and down on the indoor side from the reinforcement 13. The waist molding 20, which is a feature of the present invention, has a uniform cross section and is mounted along the upper edge of the door panel 11 by engaging means such as a clip (not shown).

As shown in FIG. 1, the waist molding 20 is formed by synthesizing a core material 21 made of metal such as stainless steel and an elastic material 22 made of synthetic resin such as soft vinyl chloride. The material 21 has an outer surface vertical portion 21a, an inner surface vertical portion 21b, and an inclined portion 21c connecting between the outer surface vertical portion 21a and the upper portion of the inner surface vertical portion 21b, and has a substantially U-shaped cross section. The elastic member 22 has an end cover 23 integrally provided on the lower end of the outer surface vertical portion 21a, and a glass elastic contact portion 25 integrally provided on the outer surfaces of the inner surface vertical portion 21b and the inclined portion 21c.

The glass elastic contact portion 25 includes a fixing portion 26 along the inner surface vertical portion 21b and the inclined portion 21c, and a solid elastic lip 27 protruding from the fixing portion 26 toward the door glass 14 and slightly upward. Have The solid elastic lip 27 has the flocked hair 24 on the surface that comes into contact with the door glass 14 when it comes into contact with the door glass 14. The glass elastic contact portion 25 further has a hollow steady portion 30 that protrudes from the fixing portion 26 toward the door glass 14 below the solid elastic lip 27.

The gist of the present invention is the shape of the hollow steady rest 30. The hollow steady portion 30 includes an abutting surface 33 that should come into contact with the door glass 14, and an elastic supporting portion that supports the abutting surface 33 and applies an elastic force in the door glass 14 direction to the abutting surface 33. It has the upper support part 34 and the lower support part 35 which comprise. The hollow steady portion 30 is further projected from the fixed portion (molding body) 26 toward the contact surface 33 in the space surrounded by the contact surface 33, the upper support portion 34 and the lower support portion 35. The support protrusion 36 is provided. The supporting convex portion 36 is located so as to face the back surface of the contact surface 33 in the free state of the hollow steady portion 30, and when the corresponding contact surface 33 contacts the door glass 14 and the elastic supporting portion is deformed. , Abuts against the back surface of the abutment surface 33 and supports it.

The contact surface 33 is formed in a flat shape, and has the hairs 24 on the surface facing the door glass 14. The upper support portion 34 is formed as a flat surface protruding from the fixing portion 26 toward the door glass 14 side and slightly upward, and the contact surface 33 has an acute angle C 1 with the contact surface 33. It is connected to the upper end portion, and when the contact surface 33 comes into contact with the door glass 14, it is configured to fall toward the fixed portion 26 side around the connection portion 34a with the fixed portion 26. Further, the lower support portion 35 is connected to the lower end portion of the contact surface 33 by projecting in parallel from the fixed portion 26 toward the contact surface 33 and then bent slightly downward so that the contact surface 33 is connected. It functions as a deformation part that absorbs the deformation when it comes into contact with.

In the waist molding 20 having the above structure, the solid elastic lip 27 and the hollow steady portion 30 are in sliding contact with the door glass 14. The solid elastic lip 27 mainly has a function of preventing rainwater from entering and a function of preventing wind noise from being generated, and the hollow steady rest portion 30 has a steady rest function of the door glass 14.

In the free state shown in FIG. 1, the hollow steady rest 30 is supported so as to be inclined such that the contact surface 33 approaches the door glass 14 toward the upper part thereof, and supports the back surface of the corresponding contact surface 33. It is separated from the protrusion 36. Then, as shown in FIG. 2, when the waist molding 20 is mounted on the door panel 11 and the supporting projection 36 comes into contact with the door glass 14 with an appropriate bending load, the upper supporting portion 34 is fixed around the connecting portion 34a. The lower support portion 35 is bent toward the portion 26 and is bent and deformed, and the back surface of the contact surface 33 contacts the tip of the support protrusion 36.

Since the back surface of the contact surface 33 is elastically supported by the support protrusion 36 having elastic force, the contact surface 33 is effectively supported by the door glass 14 in combination with the elastic force of the contact surface 33 itself. Make a bullet contact. Therefore, even if the flexural load is set to a low value, a sufficient anti-sway effect of the door glass 14 can be obtained. Further, in the state where the back surface of the contact surface 33 is supported by the support convex portion 36, even if the door glass 14 that moves up and down and the contact surface 33 are in sliding contact with each other, the contact surface 33 is not supported by the support convex portion 36. The back surface is supported and its flat shape is maintained, and the vertical movement is restricted by the frictional force with the supporting convex portion 36, so that it is not greatly deformed, and abnormal noise such as rubbing noise caused by the deformation is extremely large. Unlikely to occur. At this time, the solid elastic lip 27 comes into contact with the door glass 14 and warps upward, and comes into contact with the door glass 14 with an appropriate bending load.

The hollow steady rest 30 of the present embodiment has the feature of the present invention that the contact surface 33 is supported by the support convex portion 36. Therefore, the wall thickness a in the vicinity of the connecting portion 34a of the upper support portion 34 (see FIG. 1) and, even if the wall thickness b in the vicinity of the connecting portion 33a with the abutting surface 33 is not particularly thick, the generation of noise such as rubbing noise is suppressed, and a sufficient steadying effect of the door glass is obtained. be able to. Further, since the thicknesses a and b are formed to be relatively thin, the flexibility of the connecting portion 34a and the connecting portion 33a is improved, so that the upper supporting portion 34 falls toward the supporting convex portion 36 side and the contact surface 33 This is effective when the angle C formed by the upper support portion 34 becomes more acute.

By the way, it is desirable that the angle D (FIG. 1) formed by the perpendicular to the inner surface vertical portion 21b and the upper support portion 34 is set to about 40 °, and in that case, the bending when contacting the door glass 14 is caused. The change in direction is regulated to improve the reaction force to the door glass 14, and the contact surface is widened (flat) to reduce the surface pressure, the cross-sectional shape of the waist molding 20 is reduced, and the layout property is also improved. It becomes possible. Further, the wall thickness a of the upper support portion 34 near the connecting portion 34a is preferably set to 1.0 mm to 1.5 mm. In that case, the pressure contact force with respect to the door glass 14 and the bending toward the inner surface vertical portion 21b are set. The characteristics can be brought close to the optimum state, and the change over time can be reduced. Further, it is desirable that the wall thickness d of the lower support portion 35 near the flexure portion is set to 1.2 mm to 1.8 mm. In that case, in combination with the upper support portion 34 having the wall thickness a, the lower glass portion 14 with respect to the door glass 14 is The pressure contact force and the bending characteristic in the direction of the inner surface vertical portion 21b can be brought close to the optimum state and the change with time can be reduced. The wall thickness a is preferably set to be smaller than the wall thickness d, and it is preferable to set the wall thicknesses a and d of both to be large in order to reduce the change with time.

[Effect of device]

As described above, according to the present invention, the hollow steady rest supports the contact surface to be in contact with the door glass, and the elastic member that supports the contact surface and applies the elastic force in the door glass direction to the contact surface. The flexible support part and the support convex part that is located facing the back surface of the contact surface in the free state and that contacts and supports the back surface of the contact surface when the elastic support part is deformed by the door glass The anti-sway effect of the door glass can be improved without particularly increasing the load, and the deformation at the time of relative sliding contact with the ascending / descending door glass can be reduced to suppress the generation of noise such as rubbing noise. it can.
