た一対の補強杆4,4を介在させ、該補強杆4を折り返し
部2によって挟持して構成したものである。補強リング
3と補強杆4は互いに溶接してある。補強杆4は補強リ
ング3と同じ材質でも良いが、硬度や材質を変化させて
構成する場合がある。

るから、この補強杆の存在によって狭隘部のシール面圧
を高めつつ、へたりや疲労を補強してガス漏れを防ぐこ
とができる。しかも、折返し部内に補強リングを収設
し、補強リング間に補強杆を配してあるから、折返し部
によって補強リング等を高熱から保護できると共に、補
強リング等を硬質の材料で用いても折返し部が干渉材料
となってシリンダヘッド等への圧痕を防ぎ、補強リング
と補強杆の圧縮量の差(硬いと圧縮されにくい)も吸収
することができ、内燃機関の小形化に逆行することのな
いガスケットを提供できる。
