面よりも上方に開口されるようになし、前記フロート室
内には昇降作動により竪穴状通水口の下縁と離接し得る
ようフロートを収容し、ポンプ運転時にはその吸引力に
よりフロートが竪穴状通水口の下縁より離隔して吸水口
からポンプ吸込口に至る通水路を開通せしめ、ポンプ停
止時にはフロートがその浮力により浮上して竪穴状通水
路の下縁に当接することにより上記通水路を閉止せしめ
るよう構成した。
