For example, a pantograph type lift is a typical one, which consists of one pair and is usually folded and stored in the pit of the floor so as to be flush with the floor,
During inspection and maintenance, the pedestal at the upper end of the lift supports the lower left and right sides of the vehicle body, and the vehicle is placed on the pedestal. The pedestal has a structure in which one of the upper ends of the intersecting folding columns is connected by a pin or the like, and the other upper end is slidable. It can be supported without leaning.

In FIG. 1, 11 and 11 are left and right pantograph-shaped lifts arranged at approximately the width of the vehicle. Each pair of foldable columns 12 and 12 and a hydraulic cylinder shaft that expands and contracts these columns 12 and 12. It has 13 and is normally folded and stored in the pits 14 and 14 on the floor, extended as shown in the figure when in use, and the car-shaped pedestal 15 and 15 at the upper end lifts the vehicle 16 through the left and right sides of the underside of the vehicle body. . Each pair of stanchions 12, 12 is composed of two bendable unit stanchions that intersect in an X shape, and the pedestals 15, 15 are the stanchions 12, 12 concerned.
The unit columns are connected to one upper end by pins etc. and the other upper end is slidable.
Even if it expands or contracts, it always maintains the horizontal state.
