(Means for Solving the Problem) However, the present invention relates to a medical material characterized in that, in its constitution, polyglycolic acid, which is a bioabsorbable material, has a fibroblast-proliferating substance on the surface or inside thereof.

以下、これについて具体例を挙げて説明する。Hereinafter, this will be described with a specific example.

(Example 1) A fibroblast-proliferating substance was dissolved in an organic solvent, and a surgical suture made of polyglycolic acid, which is a bioabsorbable material, was immersed therein for a certain period of time to immerse the fibroblast inside the fiber. The growth material was infiltrated. The product was taken out of the bath and dried to obtain the product of the present invention.

(Example 2) When a polyglycolic acid fiber was spun, a fibroblast-proliferating substance was mixed in advance with a polymer raw material, which was melt-spun and knitted to obtain a hemostatic gauze. When this was applied to a surgical operation as described above, it exhibited a particularly excellent hemostatic effect and wound healing promoting effect.

(Action) The fibroblast-proliferating substance mixed into the fiber or surface-treated according to the present invention exerts two effects of local hemostatic action and wound healing promoting action in the living body as described above.

That is, the local hemostatic action means that the fibroblast-proliferating substance mixed in the fiber acts at the final stage of the hemostatic mechanism to crosslink the fibrin molecule with the fibrin molecule, thereby forming a strong and stable fibrin network. Also, the wound healing promoting action means that the fibrin network formed by the cross-linking reaction of fibroblast-proliferating substances serves as a scaffold for proliferating fibroblasts, which is the main component of tissue repair. As described above, the fibroblast-proliferating substance has an action of bridging the hemostatic mechanism and the action of promoting wound healing.

(Effects) As described above, the medical material applied with the fibroblast-proliferating substance is a medical material used surgically, for example, as a hemostatic mesh or suture, which is much more useful for accelerating the fusion of tissues and for reliable tissue repair. That is, compared with currently available commercially available sutures or hemostatic meshes using bioabsorbable tissue, it has a characteristic that it is closer to the living body, and the repair of wounds is quicker. In addition, it means that suture failure is less likely to occur in bile duct surgery, and has significantly superior characteristics to commercially available sutures.
