に、吸水体の他端側の内面に加熱部材が接触しているこ
とに特徴を有して、吸水体の固定のための部材として、
加熱部材との接触面積が最小ですむ線材を使用したもの
である。 以下本発明を図示のスチーム式ヘアカール器における実
施例に基づいて詳述する。まずヘアカール器について説
明すると、これは、第3図に示すように、熱風乃至冷風
を送るための送風装置や切換スイッチSが設けられてい
るとともに電源コード90が引き出されているグリップを
兼ねた本体Aと、ロールブラシ型をした毛髪巻き付け部
Bとで構成されたもので、毛髪巻き付け部Bは本体Aに
対して着脱自在なアタッチメントとして形成されてい
る。 本体Aはヘアドライヤとしての単独使用も可能なもの
で、円筒状ハウジング50の内部にモータ及びこれで駆動
されるファンからなる送風装置(図示せず)とヒータブ
ロック(図示せず)とを備え、ハウジング50の前端には
接続ジャック54を備えた小径筒部51が設けられており、
この小径筒部51の先端面に網体が取り付けられた送風口
52が開口している。上記送風装置は、本体A後端部に形
成された吸入口53から取り入れた空気を送風口52から吐
出する。ヒータブロックに通電されている時には、送風
口52から温風を吐出する。 毛髪巻き付け部Bは、本体Aの上記小径筒部51に連結さ
れる基台1と、基台1によって一端が支持される円筒状
の支持体2と、支持体2の先端開口に配される固定板1

ている。 基台1は大径の筒部10aと小径の筒部10bとが軸方向に間

されている。支持体2は円筒状で後端が小径の筒部10b
にビス止めされるものとして熱良導体で形成されたもの
で、この支持体2にはブリスル6の列間においてスチー
ムを噴出させるためのスチーム孔25が開口しており、そ
の先端部にはリング状の固定板16がビス止めされてい
る。 スチーム発生手段は、上記円筒状の支持体2内に配設さ
れる加熱部材3と、この加熱部材3の表面に液体(水)
を供給する液体供給部材4とからなるもので、加熱部材
3は熱良導体からなるホルダー30と、このホルダー30内
に収納されるくさび状のヒータ33とから構成されてい
る。 ここにおけるホルダー30は先端部がくさび状に、後端部
が円筒状に形成されており、ヒータ33は保持体31によっ
て保持された状態でホルダー30のくさび部内に収納され
ている。尚、このヒータ33は正特性サーミスタを発熱部
材としているもので、その両面に電極板34,34と絶縁板3
5,35とが配されており、ホルダー30の円筒部内に固定さ
れる固定板38とヒータ33との間に配された圧縮ばね39に
よって、ヒータ33はホルダー30内に押し込まれている。 このように構成された加熱部材3は、前述のように支持
体2内に収納され、ヒータ33から導出されたリード線7
1,71には上記プラグ受け13で支持されるプラグ72が接続
される 液体供給部材4は内圧調整用の弁43を備えた給水タンク
40と、この給水タンク40における開口部に着脱自在とさ
れた円筒状の支持部材42、そして支持部材42に配設され

りとした中央部を支持部材42に通すとともに、支持部材
42の先端面に形成されたV字状の切欠80の内面に両端部
を夫々位置させているもので、第1図から明らかなよう
に、支持部材42に小孔46をあけておき、そして複数本の
ステープル針状の線材48を支持部材42の外面側から小孔
46を通じて吸水体44に係止することによって、吸水体44
の固定を行なっている。 今、前記固定板16中央の開口部を通じて支持体2の先端
開口内に支持部材42を差し込めば、支持部材42のV字状
の切欠80の内面に位置している吸水体44は、ヒータ33に
おけるくさび状のホルダー30の外面に接触して、給水タ
ンク40内の液体を加熱部材3表面に導く。 図中28は結露水の吸収用の吸水体、45は液体供給部材4
の支持部材42と支持体2内面との間のスチームシール用
のシールである。 上述のように構成された毛髪巻き付け部Bは、基台1に
おける大径の筒部10aを本体Aの小径筒部51に被せるこ
とで本体Aに連結され、送風手段による送風は、大径の
筒部10aと小径の筒部10bとの間に開口する吐風口14から
吐出される。また、前記プラグ72が接続ジャック54に接
続されることで、ヒータ33の本体A側との電気的接続が
なされる。 水が充填された液体供給部材4を取り付けた状態で加熱
部材3におけるヒータ33に通電すれば、前述のように吸
水体44が加熱部材3におけるホルダー30の共に傾斜した
側面に接触していることから、吸水体44で保持されてい
た水分は加熱部材3による加熱を受けてスチームとな
り、スチーム孔25から噴出する。 この時、吸水体44を固定している線材48の一部が吸水体
44と加熱部材3との間に介在することになるが、この線
材48によって吸水体44と加熱部材3との直接接触が妨げ
られている面積は、吸水体44と加熱部材3との全接触面
積に比して微少であり、また線材44自体の熱容量も小さ
いために、加熱部材3の熱は吸水体44が保持している水
分に確実に伝えられて、この水分を蒸発させる。 また、吸水体44における給水タンク40内に位置する部分

接の接触面積が大きくなり、従って、加熱部材の発熱容
量を増加させることなく、多量のスチームを発生させる
ことができる。しかも、ステープル針のような線材によ
って吸水体を支持部材に固定するにあたり、固定部材で
ある線材を部材の外面から支持部材に穿孔した小孔を通
じて吸水体に係止させているために、固定部材が吸水体
と加熱部材との直接接触を妨げることが殆どなく、従っ
てスチーム発生量が抑制されてしまうことがないもので
あり、多量のスチームを確実に得ることができるもので
