Abstract

PURPOSE:To tightly bond a blade member to a support member with no shift in position even at a high temp. or in a humid hot condition by using polyvinyl acetal resin modified with formaldehyde condensed thermosetting resin as an adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A support member 2 made of a phosphated iron sheet is washed with a solvent, an adhesive 3' made of a soln. of polyvinyl acetal resin modified with the formaldehyde condensed thermosetting resin is applied to a face of the support member 2 to be bonded by means of a brush 4 and an adhesive layer 3 is formed by drying. A blade member 1 molded from thermosetting urethane elastomer is then bonded to the support member 2 with the adhesive 3' simultaneously when molding. Bonding function excellent in heat resistance and resistance to a humid hot state can be ensured and the blade member 1 can tightly be bonded to the support member 2 with no shift in position.

2. Description of the Related Art Electrophotographic devices such as copiers, facsimiles and printers have a photoconductor having a photoconductive layer provided on the surface thereof. During copying, the outer peripheral surface of the photoconductor is uniformly charged, and then the outer peripheral surface is exposed through the image to be copied of the object to be copied, whereby an electrostatic latent image is formed on the outer peripheral surface. It Toner is attached to the electrostatic latent image to form a toner image, and the toner image is transferred to a copy paper or the like to perform copying.

After the above copying, a part of the toner remains on the outer periphery of the photoconductor, and it is necessary to remove this residual toner. This removal is performed by a cleaning blade, which is usually a urethane elastomer formed by a centrifugal molding machine using a urethane molding material,
This urethane sheet is preliminarily cut into a predetermined shape to form a rectangular plate-shaped blade member, and the blade member is bonded to a supporting member with an adhesive or a double-sided tape. Further, the tip end portion of the blade member is cut to form a ridge line excellent in dimensional accuracy that greatly contributes to the cleaning function.

Even if the blade member can be accurately positioned on the support member, when the ridge line is formed on the blade member, the external force at the time of cutting is strongly applied to the bonding portion between the blade member and the support member, and this external force is applied. Since the adhesive strength cannot be endured, the bonded portion may be broken or creep may occur, and the blade member may fall off. The blade member is also required to have adhesive performance at high temperature and wet heat.

With the above construction, in the first to fourth means for solving the problems of the present invention, the blade member formed of the thermosetting type urethane elastomer has the formaldehyde condensation type thermosetting property of the polyvinyl acetal resin simultaneously with the forming. Since the blade member and the support member are sandwiched by the molding die and the positional relationship does not change, the blade member is accurately positioned on the support member because the blade member and the support member are integrally bonded with the adhesive composed of a modified product of resin. Further, since the adhesive has a three-dimensionally cross-linked chemical structure in honey, it is excellent in mechanical strength, water resistance and heat resistance, and the obtained adhesive strength is also strength and environment resistance. Are better. Therefore, when forming the ridgeline on the blade member, even if the external force at the time of cutting is strongly applied to the adhesive portion between the blade member and the supporting member, the adhesive force can sufficiently withstand this external force, and the adhesive portion is broken or creeps. Moreover, the blade member does not fall off.

As described above, according to the present invention as set forth in claims 1 to 4, a blade member formed of a thermosetting type urethane elastomer is formed at the same time when the blade member is formed and formaldehyde condensation of polyvinyl acetal resin is carried out. Since it is adhered to the supporting member with an adhesive composed of a modified product of a mold thermosetting resin, it is possible to obtain an adhesive function with excellent heat resistance and moist heat resistance, and the blade member is firmly attached to the supporting member without displacement. Can be glued to.
