In this terminal block, as a device for connecting and holding the electric wire to the conductive piece, a metal crimping terminal such as a ring or a fork is fixed to the tip of the electric wire, and the crimped terminal is fixed to the conductive piece with a screw. Various types have been provided, such as one that is electrically connected to a conductive piece, one that is soldered, etc., but all of them have been troublesome such as fixing a crimp terminal to a conductive piece. Therefore, in order to simplify the attachment, various types have been devised in which the conductor exposed from the end of the electric wire is elastically contacted with the conductive piece side by a crimp spring. By the way, these are
In both cases, only the conductor wire is sandwiched,
For this reason, if a conductor that is not knitted is applied, the surface resistance is weak and it is easy to escape by pulling the wire, and to prevent this, if you try to bite hard with the sharp tip, the wire will be pulled at the biting part as the wire pulls. This creates the new drawback of cutting.

<Operation> When the lead wire of the electric wire is inserted into the insertion hole of the conductive piece and the tightening screw is advanced, the wire holding piece moves down together with the tightening screw, and the crimping plate portion of the wire holding piece is attached to the conductive piece. The crimping surface of the crimping plate contacts, and the lower end of the tightening screw presses the crimping plate part, so that the crimping surface of the crimping plate part is strongly pressed against the conductor wire to secure its electrical connection. Further, at this time, the synthetic resin covering presser also descends, its pressure-contacting projections press-contact the electric wire covering, and the electric wire is held at the connecting portion at the electric wire covering and the conducting wire. At this time, although the wire and the wire covering have different shrinkage allowances, since the pressure contact tip is made of synthetic resin, it has some bending and even if the wire is strongly pressed on the crimping surface, the wire covering is performed with an appropriate force. Will be supported.

A conductive piece 10 is provided across the partition wall 5 on the upper plate portion 3. As shown in FIG. 3, the conductive piece 10 is composed of a frame body in which a plate material is bent and has a rectangular cross section. Both ends of the frame body are opened to serve as an insertion port for the conducting wire y. The left and right ends of the conductive piece 10 which are divided by the partition wall 5 are used as connection portions 11, 11 and screw holes 14, 14 are formed in the top plate portion 12 at that position. Further, inside the conductive piece 10, there is formed a stopper 13 for restricting the insertion position of the conductive wire as described later. In the conductive piece 10, only the connecting portions 11, 11 may have a rectangular cross section.

Reference numeral 21 is a U-shaped pressing metal fitting, and an insertion hole 22 for the tightening screw 15 is formed in a screwing plate portion 23 composed of an upper plate thereof. The insertion hole 22 is externally fitted to the toothless portion 16 to support the tightening screw 15 so that it cannot be moved up and down with respect to the pressing metal fitting. The length of the tightening screw 15 is set so that the lower end of the tightening screw 15 contacts the upper surface of the crimping plate portion 24 constituted by the lower plate of the pressing metal fitting in the inserted state. The lower surface of the crimping plate portion 24 of the pressing fitting 21 serves as a crimping surface 25 that holds the conductor wire.

The operation of the above configuration will be described. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the coating z is removed from the tip of the electric wire x to expose the conductor wire y, and the conductor wire 10 is inserted into the conductive piece 10 until the tip of the conductor wire y contacts the stopper 13. Then, when the tightening screws 15 and 15 are screwed in, the wire holding piece 20 is interlocked while being pressed against the lower end thereof, and the crimping surface 25 of the crimping plate portion 24 press-contacts with the conductor wire y and the press-contacting tip of the covering presser 27. 31 cuts into the coating z of the electric wire x. At this time, the wire y and the coating z have different shrinkage allowances, but since the pressure contact projections 31 are made of synthetic resin, they have some bending, and even if the wire is strongly pressed on the crimping surface, an appropriate force is applied. It will support the wire coating. Further, unlike the object formed by the edge of the metallic material, the coating z is not broken.

In this connected state, the projecting pieces 26, 26 of the cover retainer 27 project to the side of the terminal block 1 on the wire insertion side. However, since the cover retainer 27 is made of a synthetic resin that is an insulating material, it electrically shields the conductive portion by insulating it laterally, and can prevent an unnecessary short circuit with the outside. <Effects of the Invention> As has been made clear by the above description, the present invention is such that the fastening screw 15 is screwed into the screw hole 14 formed in the top plate portion of the conductive piece 10, and the crimping plate portion is attached to the fastening screw 15. 24 is the conductive piece 10
Of the electric wire x is supported by the electric wire holding piece 20 to be inserted from the insertion port of the electric wire x, and the electric wire holding piece 20 is provided with a cover retainer 27 made of a synthetic resin material in which the press contact tip 31 is laterally extended. Is inserted into the insertion port of the conductive piece 10, and the crimping surface 25 of the crimping plate portion 24 is pressed against the lead wire y at the lower end of the tightening screw 15 by the screwing operation of the tightening screw 15, and the electrical connection is made. Since the pressure contact tip 31 of the presser foot 27 is pressed against the wire cover z, the following effects can be obtained.

3) Pressed against the lower end of the tightening screw 15, the pressure bonding surface of the pressure bonding plate 24
25 is in surface contact with the conductor y. Therefore, even if the tightening screw 15 is tightened, the conductive wire y can be firmly held without being cut, and the electrical connection can be surely made.

4) Protrusions 26, 26 of a cover retainer 27 made of a synthetic resin material protrude from the side of the terminal block 1 on the side where the electric wire is inserted. Therefore, the projecting pieces 26, 26 insulate the conductive portion laterally and electrically protect the conductive portion, thereby preventing an unnecessary short circuit with the outside.
