The conventional multifocal spectacle frame has been well received since its release, but it has the drawback of being slightly expensive. This is because the entire eyeglass frame is purposely manufactured for this purpose without using the ready-made eyeglass frame. The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a multifocal spectacle frame that can be manufactured at a lower cost than the conventional one by using as many ready-made spectacle frames as possible.

The nose pad member for a multifocal spectacle frame according to the present invention,
It is used by being attached to each inside of the left and right eyeglass frames in which the multifocal lens is fitted through attaching means. Then, for example, in order to use in a normal state by using the distance lens portion, the nose pad 10 is raised with respect to the mounting piece 16 and locked by the locking means at the raised position for use. At this time, the left and right spectacle frames are supported in the lowered position, and the distance lens portion is located substantially at the center of the line of sight in the distance vision. Further, for example, when it is desired to use the near-point lens portion, the spectacle frame is lifted in the worn state and the upper ends of the nose pads 10 are lightly pressed around the brows of the eyebrows. The nose pad 10 descends with respect to the mounting piece 16 and is locked by the locking means in the lowered position. When worn in this state, the near-point lens portion is approximately at the center of the line of sight for near-point viewing. To return to the normal state in which the distance lens unit is used again, it is only necessary to push down the spectacle frame. The nose pad 10 is pushed by the contact surface of the nose with which the nose pad 10 is in contact, and the nose pad 10 rises and is locked at the raised position.

When the nose pad member for a multifocal eyeglass frame according to the present invention is attached to the eyeglass frame and used, the multifocal eyeglass frame is easy and convenient to operate. By using this nose pad member, the multifocal spectacle frame can be provided at low cost. This is because, in many cases, the mounting seats 22 that are already mounted inside each of the ready-made eyeglass frames can be used for mounting by the mounting means. Ready-made mounting seat 22
Even if it cannot be used or is not used, it suffices if the mounting means is slightly modified. That is, it is possible to maximize the use of ready-made spectacle frames without specially manufacturing the spectacle frames as a whole, so that the spectacle frame can be finished at low cost. Further, it is possible to share all or many components on the left and right, but if they are shared, it is possible to achieve cost savings equivalent to the shared component. Furthermore, the more shared parts, the easier the management. It is also advantageous in terms of after-sales service in case of failure.
