装置では、光学部、感光体ドラム、帯電器、転写器、除
電器等のコロナ放電器、現像器、クリ−ナ、定着器、給
紙搬送部等により構成されている。感光体ドラム周辺の
プロセスは、先ず、暗所において帯電器で感光体表面を
均一に帯電する。次に、露光器によって光を当て、光の
当った部分の帯電電荷を除去し、静電潜像を形成する。
現像器では、静電潜像と逆極性に帯電したトナーを静電
潜像に重ね、可視像化させて転写器に送る、転写器では
記録紙の裏側からトナーの帯電極性とは逆極性の電荷を
記録紙に与え、静電力により、トナー像を記録紙に転写
する。転写後の感光体ドラム上の潜像電荷は、除電器に
よって除電される。又、転写されずに感光体ドラム上に
残った残留トナーは、クリーナーで除去される。帯電
器、転写器、除電器には、コロナ放電器が用いられてい
るため、このコロナ放電器の放電により発生するオゾン
が感光体ドラム周辺に溜り、感光体表面を酸化し、劣化
させる。そこで、このようなことを防止するために、コ
ロナ放電器を覆うようにダクトを設け、ダクトの他端に
オゾン除去フィルタを設け機外へ排出していた。このオ
ゾン除去手段では、前記コロナ放電器から発生されたオ
ゾンを効率良くダクト内へ導くためにダクトの一端、又
は途中にファン等を設けていた。2.
