り高精度の成形品ができるようになった。このことは、
塩ビ製の宅地内排水設備も例外でなく、主として職人の
手作業で行われていた現場施工的な排水設備にとって、
きわめて良好な影響を与えるようになった。例えば従
来、家屋の床面や車庫の床面等に布設された排水管を床
上から掃除するため、立設された掃除口管の開口部に、
リング状外枠を固着し、この外枠にコイン状蓋を落とし
込み式に内嵌した構造とし、しかも、外枠と蓋との間を
密閉して浸水や臭気止めを行うため、これらの嵌合部に
弾性部材を介在している(例えば、実公昭62−430
10号公報、実公昭60−29513号公報、実公昭58
−35742号公報等参照)。ところで、かかる外枠や
蓋を塩ビ製にすれば、次のようになる。すなわち、図2
に示すように小口径マス用インバ−ト1には塩ビパイプ
からなるマス本体2が内嵌されて立設され、このマス本
体2の上方開口部にはリング状外枠3の段部3aが内嵌さ
れ、接着剤で固着されており、この外枠3にはコイン状
蓋4が落とし込み式に内嵌され、これらの外枠3と蓋4
とは共に、射出成形により高精度に成形されていること
から、前述の弾性部材を介在させることなく、これらの
嵌合部では浸水や臭気止めが完全にできるようになって
いる。しかしながら、かように塩ビ製の宅地内排水設備
が独り高精度になっても、かかる塩ビ製排水設備と他の
材料でできた設備ないし部材との境界部においては、か
えって不都合が発生することがある。例えば、図2に示
す外枠3と蓋4とは高精度に成形され密接・嵌合されて
いるので、蓋4をあけるときは、外枠3の内側面上縁に
設けたドライバ−挿入切欠5にドライバ−を差込んでこ
じあけるようにしているが、ドライバ−を差込んでこじ
あける際、外枠3に割れの生じることがあった。かかる
割れ現象を分析してみると、1)蓋4や外枠3は共に高
精度に成形されているので、成形誤差等によるゆとりが
ないこと、2)外枠3の周辺にはタイルやモルタルが打
込まれていて完全に固定されていること、すなわち、塩
ビ製の外枠3は線膨張係数7〜8×10-5、モルタルは
線膨張係数9〜13×10-6であって、膨張係数が10
倍程度異なる材料が固着されていること、3)昼夜等寒
暖の激しい場所に設置されていること、4)モルタルは
経時的に収縮すること、等の要因によって、外枠3には
クリ−プ現象が発生しており、これにドライバ−による
こじあけ力が加わると、弾性限以上の歪となって外枠3
が割れる、と考えられる。そこで、前述の公報にあるよ
うに外枠3と蓋4との間に弾性部材を介在させることに
より、蓋4の内部応力による歪をこの弾性部材によって
吸収させることも考えられるが、折角の高精度にできた
蓋4および外枠3の機能を損なうこととなって、採用で
きない。
