する揮発性有機化合物等をガス状にして、土壌ガスと共
に抽出回収する方法が行われている。従来の土壌ガス抽
出方法は、図2に示すように、浄化対象地域の地下水を
揚水井aによって低下させた後、拡大した不飽和土層か
ら、別に設置した抽出井bにより土壌ガスを吸引するこ
とによって浄化を行っていた。また、図3に示すよう
に、上記の抽出井内に水中ポンプを入れて、揚水及び抽
出兼用井cを用いる場合もある。
