う形式のプリンタに関する。

[考案が解決しようとする課題及び目的] 弾性材の活字を使って印字を行なうプリンタでは、活字

る。押圧力を一定にして印字を行なう場合、第4図に示
す様に、押圧力と活字圧縮量は比例関係にあるが、活字
面積の小さい“."や“−”等の活字と活字面積の大きい
“0"や“8"等の活字では押圧力に対する活字圧縮量の増
加する割合は一定ではない。つまり、一定の押圧力では
活字面積の小さい活字の方が多く圧縮される。一方、活
字圧縮量と印字濃度及び文字幅の関係は第5図に示され
るような比例関係がある。

め、印字面の活字にかかる圧力に差がなくなり、活字圧
縮量はほぼ同量となることにより印字された文字の太さ
及び濃淡が印字面積に差があったとしても、ほぼ一定と
なり、ぼやけることがなく、鮮明な印字品質が得られる
品質向上に大きく貢献するものであり、その実用的効果
は極めて大きいものである。
