Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the machining cost of components while ensuring the connecting quality by a structure wherein the compositional member of movement has a part abutting on the bottom face of a sensor and the compositional members of one movement shares a shaft with the sensor. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 1 is mounted onto the case 2 of a wristwatch from below while collapsing a waterproofing packing 10 and the sensor 1 is positioned radially in that state. A rotary board 6 is then mounted onto the case 2 so that the sensor is received at the bottom face thereof by the sensor receiving face 5a of a panel frame 5 thus preventing coming-off of the sensor 1. The sensor receiving part 5b spreads the panel frame 5 in the vicinity of the sensor up to the rear cover side thus reducing the gap (a) significantly with respect to the rear cover. Sine the sensor receiving part 5b abuts on the rear cover, even if the sensor is subjected to external pressure, the rotary board 6 is not subjected to a pressure more than necessary.

However, in the above-mentioned prior art, it is necessary to fix the sensor to the exterior by using a screw. Especially, in a wristwatch, since a small screw is used on the space, the assembling workability is poor. There was a problem. In addition, when the exterior is made of plastic, a self-tapping screw is used, and it is necessary to tighten with a screw having a small diameter and a small length as described above, so that it is likely to become a screw fool. This problem is particularly serious for sensors, because they are sensitive parts that must be attached and detached during mass production and after-sales service. If the plastic exterior has a twisted thread, the entire case must be replaced, which is a cosmetic problem. In addition, in the case of a metal exterior, the risk of screwing is small, but it is difficult to form a small-diameter screw on the exterior, and if this happens tapping mistakes cause screw failure, and the expensive metal exterior only has defects in that part. It was sometimes useless. In addition, when fixing the screw on a surface other than the machined surface, the exterior becomes thick to secure the space for the screw hole, and the movement needs a space to squeeze the screw head. It was a neck. In terms of quality, the conventional method also had a problem that there were many parts involved in vertical positioning of the sensor and movement, and variations in dimensional tolerance increased, making it difficult to secure a stable connection.

1 is a sectional view showing an embodiment of the present invention.
1 is a sensor, 2 is a watch case which is an exterior, and 3 is a back cover. The liquid crystal panel 4, the panel frame 5, the circuit board 6, the battery 7, and the like are the main components that make up the movement. Electric elements such as an IC and a crystal oscillator are mounted on the circuit board 6 and are operated by the energy of the battery 7. The liquid crystal panel 4 is for displaying various data, and is supplied with signals from the circuit board 6 through the connector 8. Power exchange and signal exchange between the sensor 1 and the circuit board 6 are performed via the connector 9. The sensor 1 is for obtaining external information such as pressure and temperature, must be in contact with the outside air, and is also attached to the watch case 2 in terms of waterproof protection. In this example, the sensor 1 is attached to the watch case 2 from below while crushing the waterproof packing 10. In this state, the sensor is positioned in the radial direction. After this, by mounting the movement 6 on the watch case, the sensor receiving surface 5 of the panel frame 5
a receives the bottom of the sensor and prevents the sensor from coming off. Normally, the configuration up to this point is sufficient, but when the sensor is a pressure sensor, in particular, when water pressure is detected, a considerable pressing force is applied. Specifically, when the sensor outer diameter is φ5 mm and a water depth of 50 m is applied, a force of about 1 kg is applied, and if the safety factor is 5 times, we must consider a load of 5 kg, but
In the movement level of a watch, if such a force is applied, the movement will be deformed, causing malfunction. Therefore, in the present invention, the sensor receiving portion 5b is provided by extending the vicinity of the sensor of the panel frame 5 to the back lid side. Further, the sensor receiving portion 5b sets the gap α between the back cover and the back lid to an extremely small amount. As a result, even if external pressure is applied to the sensor, it is possible to prevent excessive pressure from being applied to the movement by the 5b portion coming into contact with the back lid. A major feature of the present invention is that the movement components (panel frame in the example of FIG. 1) are used to perform sensor positioning and back lid side positioning. Therefore, in the example of FIG. Hole 6 for receiving part 5b
a is provided. It is conceivable to form the part that receives this sensor and the part that faces the back cover at different parts, but this is not preferable because the dimensional variation of parts increases. The gap α between the sensor receiving portion 5b and the back cover is ideally set to a minimum amount in consideration of the dimensional variation of each component.

Next, FIG. 2 will be described. The basic idea is exactly the same as the case of FIG. 1, but in this case, the circuit case 222 is used to position the sensor 21 in the vertical direction. The circuit case 222 is characterized in that it has a portion 222a that penetrates the hole 26a of the circuit board 26 and the hole 25a of the panel frame 25 to receive the sensor. The wristwatch has various structures such as one having no circuit case as shown in FIG. 1 and one having a panel frame and a circuit case as shown in FIG. 2, but the present invention can be applied to any structure.

The example of FIG. 4 shows an application example of the present invention, in which a projection 43a is partially formed from a back lid 43, and faces the panel frame in close proximity. The effect in this case is basically the same as that of the example of FIGS.

As described above, according to the present invention, since the sensor can be vertically positioned by using a part of the movement constituent parts, no special part for fixing the sensor is required. This not only reduces the cost of parts, but also contributes to the reduction of indirect costs such as simplification of parts management.

Further, it is not necessary to form a screw on the watch case, but this can be rationalized by reducing the number of man-hours, the occurrence of defective parts due to defective screw work can be eliminated, and the production yield of the watch case can be improved.

Further, since the screws are eliminated during the assembling, the screw tightening work is eliminated and the process can be rationalized. This not only contributes to rationalization, but also contributes to the elimination of defective products due to screw fools and damage to the product during screw tightening.

The greatest advantage of the present invention is improvement of product quality. One of them is the improvement of space efficiency. For watches, miniaturization and thinning is a big theme,
According to the present invention, since screws can be eliminated, the thickness of the watch case, which was necessary in terms of processing and strength, can be made thin, and space for the screws is unnecessary, which greatly contributes to size reduction and thickness reduction. In particular, in the case of a metal watch case, the wall thickness required in the axial direction of the screw can be made as thin as 2 to 3 mm, which corresponds to the development of a thin design.

The second merit of improving the product quality is the improvement of the connection quality between the sensor and the circuit board. Since the sensor fixing member is eliminated and the sensor and the circuit board directly face each other, the factor of variation in the size of the connection is reduced, and stable connection is possible.
