Since a slight taper is provided, a gap is eliminated and centering can be performed by only inserting the gem 1 into the hole. By inserting the gem 1 and bending the rising part, fixing of the gem 1 to the semi-sphere 2 can be performed. がでるとチリや水が入る為パンチにテーパを設け立上り
部分の内側を一定の深さまでテーパのパンチにより押さ
えた所、隙間をなくす事が出来たが、石留めの時に石の
中心が穴の心に合わせるのに手間がかかり、石が外に飛
び出すなどばらつきもあった。そこで、パンチ3の先端
を内径に合わせ下部に石径の寸法を出し、先端と下部の
境にわずかなテーパを設け、パンチにより立上り部分の
内側を広げテーパ跡を付ける、なおダイは球状に作り中
心にパンチの先端が入るようにする事で、穴径のばらつ
きもなく外形の変形をなくし、わずかなテーパがあるた
め、すきまをなくし心だしも穴に石を入れるだけで用意
になり、石を入れ立上りを曲げることにより、半玉に宝
石を留める事が可能になった。終わりにこの方法を用い
る事により、例えば、半玉を合わせる事により丸玉が出
来ハート形、星形等の色々の形状の薄板に宝石を留める
事が可能になる。
