センタポールに摺動自在に嵌合された摺動ブッシュ(7)
と、該摺動ブッシュを前記センタポールから押し出す方
向に付勢するバネ部材(9)と、従動軸挿入穴(12)を有す
る第2のヨーク(2)の二又間底部と前記従動軸挿入穴奥
部とを貫通して設けられ前記摺動ブッシュ(7)の凸状中
央突出部(10)が遊挿される貫通孔(11)と、前記摺動ブッ
シュの凸状中央突出部(10)の周辺に設けられた当接面(1
3)と、前記貫通孔(11)の周辺に設けられ前記凸状中央突
出部が前記貫通孔に十分深く挿入されたとき前記当接面
(13)が当接する当接受面(14)とからなり、 前記第2のヨークの従動軸挿入穴(12)に従動軸が挿入さ
れていないときは、前記摺動ブッシュ(7)が前記バネ部
材(9)により押されて前記当接面(13)が当接受面(14)に
圧接し、前記第2のヨーク(2)が前記第1のヨーク(1)に
対して固定されて首垂れが防止され、前記第2のヨーク
の従動軸挿入穴(12)に従動軸(20)が挿入されたときは、
その従動軸の先端が前記バネ部材(9)の付勢力に抗して
前記摺動ブッシュ(7)の凸状中央突出部(10)を押し、前
記当接面(13)が当接受面(14)から離れて前記第2のヨー
ク(2)が前記第1のヨーク(1)に対して所要角度の首振り
を許容されることを特徴とするユニバーサルジョイント
