However, in the conventional structure in which the positive electrode lead 3 is connected to the washer 4, the hollow rivet 1 and the washer 4 are connected by caulking, so that the positive electrode lead 3 is connected to the terminal cap. In the electrical energization path up to 7, the caulking joint is an unstable element of energization. That is, when caulking and joining the tip portion 1 ′ of the hollow rivet 1, as shown in FIG. 3, the packing 2 is compressed and the restoring force of the packing 2 serves to provide airtightness as a sealed battery and the tip portion 1 ′ of the hollow rivet 1. Electricity is obtained by the contact between the caulked joint and the washer 4. However,
(1) If the caulking joint is not properly crimped and the caulking is not sufficient, (2) If caulking joint is performed with insulating foreign matter such as oil adhered to the caulking joint part,
(3) Restoring force is weakened due to stress relaxation of packing 2,
When the contact force between the caulking joint portion and the washer 4 is not sufficiently obtained, there is a problem that the contact resistance of the contact portion increases, the energization becomes unstable, and the electrical characteristics of the battery deteriorate. It was

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention relates to an upper lid of a prismatic sealed battery having a hollow rivet, a terminal cap and a valve body, which is fixed to a lid plate through a packing and a washer. The positive electrode lead of the positive electrode plate is resistance-welded to the tip of the hollow rivet. The connection plate is connected and fixed by resistance welding to the hollow part of the hollow rivet and the protruding part of the connection plate, and the terminal cap covers the valve body. Thus, the hollow rivet is fixed to the upper flange portion by resistance welding.

EXAMPLE An example of the present invention will be described. A hollow rivet 1 is connected to a washer 4 by caulking and joining a tip portion 1 '. The hollow rivet 1 is fixed to the cover plate 5 by caulking and joining the tip 1'of the hollow rivet 1 with the packing 2 and the washer 4 so that the flange portion is on the upper side. The positive electrode lead is connected to one end of the connecting plate 8 by resistance welding. As shown in FIG. 2, the connecting plate 8 is provided with a protruding portion 9 for positioning the tip portion 1 ′ of the hollow rivet 1 on one side, and the hollow portion of the hollow rivet 1 is provided in the protruding portion 9. It has a hole portion 10 communicating with. Further, the projection 9 and the projection 9 of the connection plate 8 are resistance-welded together with the positioning of the tip 1 ′ of the hollow rivet 1 along the inner wall of the hollow part of the hollow rivet 1. The hollow part of the hollow rivet 1 is connected. Further, the valve body 6 is disposed in contact with the hollow rivet 1 in a state of closing the hollow portion of the hollow rivet 1, but the hollow rivet 1 and the terminal cap 7 have the valve body 6 of the hollow rivet 1. When the terminal cap 7 and the flange of the hollow rivet 1 are in contact with each other in a pressed state of closing the hollow portion, they are joined and fixed by resistance welding.

As is apparent from Table 1 above, in the upper lid of the present invention shown in FIG. 1, since the electrical connection between the positive electrode lead 3 and the terminal cap 7 serving as the positive electrode terminal is the joining by metal fusion, The electric resistance value is 3.4 mΩ as shown in Table 1.
It was improved to ~ 2.6 mΩ. In the caulking connection of this type of lid, the contact resistance changes depending on the deformation strength of the caulking, and the resistance value also changes due to the relaxation of the caulking portion by packing or the like.

As described above, the upper lid of the prismatic sealed battery of the present invention is connected from the positive electrode lead to the positive electrode terminal by connecting the terminal caps serving as the positive electrode terminals in a molten state of metal by resistance welding. In the energization path to the cap, there are no unstable elements of energization, and the electrical resistance value is low compared to contact by caulking, and it is excellent in that the energization characteristics are improved due to stabilization.
