Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize safe escape to an evacuation opening by housing an emergency ladder on the wall surface at the time of non-use, taking off a ladder main body from an engage- stopping metal fitting at the time of emergency. CONSTITUTION:In the case of evacuating from the upper part to the lower part, an opening/ closing lid 26 is opened by holding the handle 27 of a hatch 5, and when pulling is carried out by holding the grip portion 19 of the engage-stopping release rope 21 of an emergency ladder 1, a ladder main body 13 is moved upward, and an engage-stopping state between an engage-stopping metal fitting 17 and a bar member 15 is released, and the main body 13 is turned by means of a spring 18 and falls into an inclined state. Hereupon, by releasing the pulling state of the rope 21, the lower portion of the main body 13 butts against a lower part floor surface 4A in the inclined state, so by placing a foot on a fitting member 11 through an evacuation opening, descending is conducted. Next, in the case of evacuating from the lower part to the upper part, pulling is conducted by holding the grip portion 30 of the cord 31 of the lower portion opening/closing mechanism 32 of the hatch 5, then the opening/closing lid 26 is turned and opened by the turning movement of a pair of opening bars 29 with a pivot-support pin 25 as a fulcrum. Engage-stopping with the engage-stopping metal fitting 17 is released by pushing up upward by holding the ladder main body 13, and fixation at an inclined state is carried out by turning the main body 13 by means of the spring 18, and escape is realized through the evacuation opening 6.

An urging spring for urging the ladder main body to always be in an inclined state, and a portion near the evacuation opening capable of pulling the ladder main body upward so as to release the locked state from the locking metal fitting. Since the lock release rope is locked to the ladder main body, the ladder main body can be positioned in an inclined state with respect to the evacuation opening in an emergency. Therefore, even women and children can safely and comfortably climb up and down and escape vertically.
