トレインリリーフの溝部1aの真上に配され、圧接工具で
押え板4(第3図(d))を加圧しハウジング1に装着
することにより線材3は押え板4の内周側に設けられた
凸部4bの強制的な押し下げによつてU溝部2b内に挿入さ
れ、線材3の被覆3aが除去されると同時に線材3の心線
3bのみがU溝部2bに圧入されて機械的及び電気的接続が
行われる。また押え板4が圧接工具によりハウジング1
に装着される際に押え板の内周側に設けた突起状凸部4b
が線材3の被覆部3aをストレインリリーフの溝部1aに強
制挿入して線材3をU溝部2bの近傍で挟接係止すること
によりストレインリリーフの機能を達成する構造となつ
ている。線材3の片端はハウジング1と押え板4の加圧
装着直後に圧接工具に内蔵された刃物(図示せず)によ
り切断される。また押え板4はハウジング1との装着完
了と同時に押え板4の両側下端に設けたフック4aとハウ
ジング1両側端に設けた突起部1cの嵌着によりハウジン
グ1と固定される。

は、コネクタを装置から取り外して圧接工具により結線
することが困難であり、装置に組み込まれた状態で簡易
工具を用いて目視によりU溝部真上に線材を配置しなが
ら圧接結線しなければならないなど種々の欠点を有して
いた。

前記ケーブルの外被部分をわずか押圧して仮保持できる
だけの溝幅寸法とし、前記広幅溝部の下端段部を前記U
溝端子の溝部上端より下方に位置するようにし、前記押
え板に、前記ハウジングの複数の突起状片の溝および前
記U溝端子に対応した突起状凸部と、ハウジング側部の
突起部と係合するフックとを形成し、前記押え板の突起
状凸部の先端を前記線材を前記U溝端子内へ押し込むよ
うに狭幅の段差状突端形状としたものである。

状凸部4は第1図(c)に示すようにその先端が狭幅の
段差状突端形状となっている。この場合、線材3の被覆
部3aは、U溝部に対向する突起状片1′の溝部1b,1aを
降下しU溝部2b内で被覆部3aが除去され、線材3の心線
3bのみU溝部2bに圧入され、機械的及び電気的接続がな
される。また溝部1aに押し下げられた被覆部3aは、該溝
部内で挾接係止されたU溝部2bの近傍で確実なストレイ
ンリリーフの機能がもたらされる。更に押え板4は、装
着完了時に該押え板4の両端に設けたフツク4aとハウジ
ング1の両端部に設けた突起部1cの嵌着により、ハウジ
ング1と固定される。溝部1bは従来構造に於ける整線櫛
歯5aの機能を有しており、線材3の被覆部外径より適度
に小さな溝幅を持つ段部あるいは傾斜部を有することに
より、線材圧接によるU溝部2b内に於ける線材3の被覆
部3aの剥離,除去及び溝部1bと線材3の被覆部3aの挾接
係止以前に於けるコネクタ結線部近傍での直接簡易保持
を可能としている。なお押え板4による圧接工具での一
括圧接を行わずにU溝端子の一端子ごとの圧接に於いて
も簡易圧接工具(図示せず)により容易に且つ正確に対
応できる。

は、整線器を使用とせず、U溝端子を収容するコネクタ
または端子台の使用融通性及び圧接工具の簡略化に大き
な効果を発揮する。
