Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a temperature control device which can easily discriminate whether a temperature fuse is melted due to a temperature rise of the thermal fuse beyond its specified value or by any reason other than such temperature rise and which can easily investigate the cause of such thermal fuse cut. CONSTITUTION:A resistor is turned integrally with a thermal fuse 1 by means of an aluminum tape and provided into contact with the thermal fuse 1. A discoloring mark 10 which discolors at a melting temperature of 96 deg.C is printed on the temperature fuse 1. When a heater is heated and overheated, the resistor generates heat and the temperature fuse 1 is melted when its temperature reaches, for example 96 deg.C. When the temperature of the thermal fuse 1 reaches 96 deg.C, the discoloring mark 10 discolors, therefore, the melting due to heating can be easily discriminated. Even if the temperature of the thermal fuse 1 does not rise up to its specified value or more due to a failure of the thermal fuse 1 itself or due to overcurrent, the discoloring mark 10 does not discolor when the thermal fuse 1 has blown, therefore, the cause of such thermal fuse 1 cut can be easily discriminated.

According to the present invention, since the thermal fuse has the color changing means for changing the color at a temperature at which the temperature fuse is blown or a temperature slightly lower than the temperature at which the temperature fuse is blown, if the temperature fuse is blown by the temperature rise, the color changing means is changed. As the color changes, it can be surely grasped whether or not the melting is due to the temperature rise.

Further, when the heater 4 is overheated, the resistor 6 is caused to generate heat and the temperature fuse 1 is blown to open the circuit when the temperature reaches, for example, 96 ° C. Further, when the temperature of the thermal fuse 1 reaches 96 ° C., the discoloration mark 10 discolors, so that it can be easily determined that the fuse has melted due to heat.

On the other hand, even if the temperature of the thermal fuse 1 does not rise above a predetermined value due to a defect of the thermal fuse 1 itself or overcurrent, the discoloration mark 10 does not discolor when the thermal fuse 1 is cut. It can be easily determined that the melting is not caused by rising.

In any case, the temperature at which the color changes is
The same effect can be obtained by changing the color not only at the fusing temperature of the thermal fuse 1 but also at a temperature lower than the fusing temperature of the thermal fuse 1 by about 10 ° C. The error in the allowable range of the thermal fuse 1 is the specified temperature. Since it is set lower, it is possible to cope with the instrumental difference of the thermal fuse 1.
