Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the mass production possible so as to sufficiently reduce the cost of a nut by alternately forming semicircular bodies on the face side and the back side of sheet metal by cutting and bending, and forming continuous internal thread inside these semicircular bodies. CONSTITUTION:By forming two or more semicircular bodies 3 by squeezing respective parts divided with slits formed on sheet metal alternately to the face side and the back side, a circular hole alternately having opening parts 4 by the semicircular bodies 3 is formed, and by forming continuous internal thread 6 by die pressing from the respective opening parts 4 on the insides of the respective semicircular bodies, a nut A made of sheet metal having internal thread continuing in series is completed regardless of alternate existence of the semicular bodies. The nut A is provided with lug parts 7 on both sides for combining together the semicircular bodies 3, and step difference 8 is generated on the end face for alternately forming the semicircular bodies 3. These can be easily manufactured by mass production by means of only a press device or facilities adding a forging device thereto.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventional nuts are made by cutting a wire rod made of steel or the like into a certain size with a cutting machine, forming a hexagonal or quadrangular shape with a header, and drilling a pilot hole before continuously feeding a threading machine. Since the product is obtained by cutting with a screw, there is a feature that mass production is easy.

However, since the nut manufactured by the above means requires many kinds of machines and incidental equipment, the equipment cost, the operating cost, the maintenance cost, etc. are very high, and these are reflected in the price of the nut for mass production. However, there is a problem that the cost cannot be reduced sufficiently.

The sheet metal nut according to the present invention uses a sheet metal having a shape and size suitable for its application and required strength, and when a plurality of semicircular bodies are alternately formed by cutting and bending on the front side and the back side, These semi-circular bodies form circular holes having alternating open portions. Therefore, if continuous female threads are formed on these semicircular bodies from the opening side by molding using a pressing device or a forging device, even if the semicircular bodies are staggered, the female threads will be connected in series, so that the diaper can be smoothly smoothed. Sheet metal nuts that can be screwed together are easily produced in large quantities by using only a press machine or equipment including these forging machines.

1 to 3, A shows a completed sheet metal nut. The sheet metal 1 shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 whose shape and size are determined according to the application, required strength, etc., and FIG. As shown in the figure, the number of slits 2, which is one less than the number of semi-circular bodies to be described later, is formed by leaving both ends, and both ends are formed, and each part divided by the slit 2 is pushed alternately to the front side and the back side. When two or more semicircular bodies 3 are bent to form the semicircular bodies 3 as shown in FIG. 1, the semicircular bodies 3 alternately form the circular holes 5 having the open portions 4 as shown in FIG. When the female screws 6 are continuously formed on the inside of the semicircular body 3 from the open portion 4 by die pressing, the sheet metal nuts A connected in series are completed even if the semicircular bodies 3 are staggered. This nut A connects the above-mentioned semi-circular body 3. Ears 7 as shown in FIG. 3 in order on both sides,
7 exists, and a step 8 is formed on the end face for alternately forming the semicircular bodies 3.

Further, in the manufacture of this sheet metal nut A, a plurality of sheet metals 1 are sectioned and formed from an original plate 9 as shown in FIG. 4, and two slits 3 are formed in these sheet metal 1 as shown in FIG. Then, the sheet metal 1 is formed into a semi-circular body 3 as shown in FIG.
7, the upper and lower inner molds 10 that fit the inner shape of the semi-circular body 3 are interlocked to descend and rise, and the sheet metal 1 is fitted to the outer shape of the semi-circular body 3 to the upper and lower outer molds 11 as shown in FIG. When pressed against, the semi-circular bodies 3 are formed alternately as shown in FIG.

Next, the sheet metal 1 on which the semi-circular body 3 is formed is shown in FIG.
As shown in FIG. 5, the screw 6 is set in the mold C, and the male mold screw 12s is formed so as to be continuous.
Interlockingly lowers and raises the male die male screw 12s inside the semi-circular body 3 of the sheet metal 1 supported by the outer die 13 as shown in FIG. Three
On the other hand, a series of continuous threads 6 are formed as shown in FIG. 1 to complete the sheet metal nut A. In this screw forming, it is preferable to apply an impact pressure by a forging device rather than applying a static pressure by a press because a screw with high precision is formed.

The female screw 6 of the above-mentioned sheet metal nut A is used.
Was formed only by biting the male die screw 12s provided on the inner die 12 into the thick semicircular body 3, but the thin sheet metal 1
In the case of using as the material, not only the male external thread 12s is formed on the inner mold 12 as shown in FIG. 10, but also the outer mold 13 is made movable to form a female mold screw 13s on the outer mold 13 to form a screw. By using the mold D and pressing the inner mold 12 and the outer mold 13 against the semicircular body 3 from above and below, the male mold screw 12s of the inner mold 12 and the female mold screw 13s of the outer mold 13 are both semicircular. It is possible to obtain the sheet metal nut A that is penetrated into the semicircular body 3 and is transformed into the female screw 6 as shown in FIG.

However, since the nut A made of sheet metal has a peculiar shape in which the ears 7, 7 for connecting the semicircular bodies 3 which are staggered as described above are present on both sides, a general spanner is used. I can't turn it. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 12, an opening spanner S in which a handle 17 is connected to a main portion 16 having a receiving portion 14 that contacts the front side of one ear portion 7 and a hook portion 15 that hooks on the rear side of the other ear portion 7. Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 13, the handle 2 is attached to the main portion 19 in which a pair of sandwiching portions 18, 18 sandwiching the ears 7, 7 on both sides of the sheet metal nut A are vertically hung.
A box-shaped wrench S having a series of 0s is used to tighten and loosen the nut A.
If the flat portion 21 is formed correspondingly as shown in FIG. 14 and placed, the flat portion 2 having the ordinary spanner S as shown in FIG.
The nut A can be tightened or loosened by being hung on the Nos. 1 and 21.

Next, a member 2 using the sheet metal nut A
Since the step 8 is formed on the end surface of the nut A in the connection of the nuts 2 and 23, as shown in FIG. 15, a special washer 25 having a step 24 is added to complement the step 8, and the nut is combined. When A is screwed into a bolt 27 passing through a hole 26 formed in the members 22 and 23 and turned by a spanner S, as described above, even if the respective semicircular bodies 3 are staggered, they are formed on them. Since the screws 6 are connected in series, the nut A is smoothly and reliably tightened, and the members 22 and 23 are strongly and reliably joined.
