【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 像担持体と、内部に磁石を配置すること
により現像剤を担持し搬送する回転自在の現像剤担持体
を有する現像手段と、クリーニング手段を有する、画像
形成装置本体に着脱自在なプロセスカートリッジにおい
て、前記現像剤担持体の両端部には、該現像剤担持体の
外周面と所定間隙をもって磁性体シール部材を配置し、
該磁性体シール部材と該現像剤担持体に内包された磁石
との間に磁界を形成し、該間隙部に磁力線に沿って現像
剤の磁気ブラシを形成することによって現像剤の外部へ
の流出を防止する構成であり、更に該磁性体シール部材
の現像領域側に隣接し、該磁性体シール部材が対応する
部分全周に渡って該現像剤担持体に当接するように弾性
発泡体を設けたことを特徴とするプロセスカートリッ
ジ。
