Abstract

PURPOSE:To securely hold, a joint connecting two covering materials connected to each other, at a specified position without shifting the position. CONSTITUTION:The fixing edges 11 formed along the longitudinal direction of the rear side of a covering material 1 having a width to cover the clearance between building bodies (a), (b) are attached at the fixing part 9 of a fixing member 7 provided with a certain distance at the clearance between the building bodies. These covering materials 1 are butt-jointed to constitute a expansion joint. A joint 2 are arranged at the rear side of connection part of two covering materials 1 mutually butt-jointed. The fixing edge 11 projected at the rear face of the covering material 1 is cut out as long as the disposed length of the joint 2 to attach the joint 2 at the cut-out part.

2. Description of the Related Art The expansion joint is formed by abutting and connecting cover materials that cover the gap between the opposite building frames, and it is necessary to dispose a joint material at the connecting portion of the cover materials. . As this joint material, conventionally, as shown in joint material 106 in FIG. 1 of Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 52724/1990, it is arranged outside the connecting portion of the cover material, and in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 63-37363. As shown in the joint member 17 in FIGS. 2 and 3, it is known that the cover member is arranged inside the connecting portion of the cover member.

By the way, in any of the above cases, especially when the cover members are arranged in the vertical direction, when the building frames on both sides fluctuate in mutually different directions due to vibration, temperature change, differential settlement, etc., The joint material may slide down due to its own weight. Therefore, although the cover material and the joint material are formed so as to be in close contact with each other, the contact material may be loosened during repeated fluctuations, resulting in a displacement phenomenon of the joint material.
