2. Description of the Related Art In melt spinning of general-purpose synthetic fibers such as polyester and polypropylene, a polymer is discharged from a plurality of spinnerets to form a large number of fiber bundles (tows) which are rotated at a high speed. It is generally stored in a storage container such as a can. However, when spinning,
A fiber spun from one spinneret may cause thread breakage due to clogging of a spinning hole or uneven viscosity of a polymer. Conventionally, in this yarn splicing, a method in which a person manually splices the yarn to be spliced into a traveling tow, cuts with scissors, and joins the traveling tow. However, this yarn splicing work is easy to fail,
As a result, other normally spun fibers are also involved, and other take-up rolls may be stopped or the entire take-up and storage device may be stopped. Further, since this work is performed in accordance with the tow traveling at a high speed, the skill of the worker is used, and there is a problem that a disaster such as scissors is likely to occur.

In Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 52-91909, an air-suction type yarn suction device is provided at a position below the tow yarn path,
An air-suction type yarn mixing device is disclosed in which the yarn to be spliced is sucked by the yarn suction device, moved in the left-right direction, and cut and combined by a cutter. In the product provided with the air-suction type yarn joining device, it is necessary to apply a large amount of high-pressure air at all times from the start of yarn joining to the end of yarn joining, and inevitably a large air compressor or the like. Is necessary and not economical. In addition, when the yarn is spliced, the suction device is placed on the rail and moved in the left-right direction, so that the yarn waste easily wraps around the wheels, the rail, etc., which may hinder the smooth movement. Further, since the fiber at the time of starting the yarn splicing is manually taken by a human, the total fineness may be extremely large or a yarn having a large fineness and fusion between fibers may pass as compared with the normal spinning. At this time, the holes for suctioning are clogged with fibers, and the splicing is likely to fail. Therefore, there is a problem in that fibers are clogged in the suction holes, and the yarn splicing is likely to fail. Since such a yarn suction device uses a dynamic pressure of air, it has a limited suction force and cannot be used when the toe has a large denier. About 3 with the suction device
It is said that 10,000 to 40,000 denier is the upper limit, and there is a problem that it cannot be applied to tows with high productivity and large total fineness in recent years.

Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 60-157465 discloses a thread-shaped passage tube in which a tow passes through an upper tube of a substantially T-shaped pipe and jets compressed air from a lower portion of the tube to entangle threads to be joined to the tow. Discloses a yarn splicing device provided in the yarn path. However, since this device is fixed to the main line of the tow, this yarn splicer hinders workability when performing the take-up and storing operation of the yarn. Especially within several hours after the start of spinning, the spinnability is not stable and many yarn breakages occur, and the yarn breakage is caught in the yarn splicer, and the yarns of all the spinnerets are formed. It leads to the situation of triggering a break. Further, it is necessary to provide a yarn cutting device at a place different from the yarn joining device.

The contact surface of the yarn splicer (7) of the present invention with the tow running main line is convexly curved, and has a semi-lunar convex curved shape having a concave yarn path (25), a rod shape, a roll shape, or a concave yarn path. It may have a convex curved shape. In the half-moon convex curve, there is a concave yarn path (25) formed between both protrusions (28), and a plurality of gas ejection holes (29) form the upper element at the bottom of the yarn path. Further, the upper element has a gas dispersion chamber (30) having a large number of pores therein, and a compressed air having a pressure of about 1 to 6 kg / cm 2 is connected to the chamber (30) via an air-pipe (34). Has been done. The ejection of the compressed air is performed by operating the solenoid valve (19). The gas ejection holes (29) have a circular cross section and are nine at regular intervals (FIG. 2). The holes have a diameter of about 0.5-20.
mm is enough. Of course, the shape of the hole may be an ellipse, a rectangle, or the like. Since the contact surface of the yarn splicer (7) with the tow running main line is curved, the guide function of the fiber to be spliced,
It has a push-up contact function and a linear entanglement function. By injecting gas from a plurality of holes, there is an entanglement function at a plurality of parts, that is, an entanglement function of filaments. Further, since the ease of yarn splicing varies depending on the fineness of the single yarn to be applied, the water content of the tow, the strength of friction between fibers, etc., the gas ejection hole (29) may be omitted.

The moisturizer (16) and the presser guide (11) are pushed out by the operation of the air cylinder.
The valve connected to this moisturizer opens and water is sprayed to moisten the tow (14). Before the yarn splice (7) rises and the yarn splice reaches the yarn splice position (D), the fibers separate from the separation guide (13) and become the same as the yarn path of the tow traveling main line and come into contact with the tow. . When the compressed air is ejected, the electromagnetic valve of the compressed air connected to the upper element (20) of the yarn splicer is opened immediately before reaching the yarn splicing position (D), and the compressed air is ejected from the gas ejection hole (29). Furthermore, the yarn splicer (7) rises and the yarn path becomes

The path of 5) is taken, and at the yarn splicing position (D), the fibers and the tow are entangled by the gas flow ejected from the bottom of the tow while being pressed by the presser guide (11) and the yarn splicer (7). In this state, the compressed air solenoid valve (19) connected to the yarn cutting device is actuated to cut the fiber, and the fiber which was heading for the collecting device (15) is directed to the guide roll (12) and is fed into the transfer roll. After passing through the le (4), it is stored in the can (5) (FIG. 1).

In the yarn splicing device, the bottom portion (27) of the concave yarn passage that also serves as the yarn passage is curved in a semi-lunar convex shape, and gas is discharged from the plurality of gas ejection holes (29) formed in the bottom portion. Since it jets out, the fibers and the tow main line are subjected to entanglement treatment at a plurality of points. Moreover, the tow main line is moistened with liquid such as water or oil. Therefore, the entanglement of the fibers to be spliced becomes sufficient, and the splicing does not fail (FIG. 2).

The first effect of the present invention is that, when a yarn breakage occurs in a specific spinning spindle (spinneret) during spinning, the yarn splicer causes the fibers and tows to be spliced into a linear shape with a large number of jet flows. Since the yarn is entangled with each other, the yarn can be reliably and automatically spliced, and the generation of waste yarn due to a splicing error can be reduced. A second effect of the present invention is that guides, a moisturizer, etc. for assisting yarn splicing are retracted to the back side of the tow traveling main line or the back side of the panel during steady operation, and the front side is provided only during yarn splicing. Will appear in
These guides were able to work safely without hindering workability during spinning and take-up / storing work. Further, the yarn waste is not caught on the guides, and the yarn winding or the tow winding due to the yarn waste is not induced. The third effect of the present invention is that since water or the like is sprayed from the moisturizer to the tow only at the time of yarn splicing, the moisture improves the tow converging property and the yarn splicing can be performed more reliably. Even with tens of thousands of total denier thick tows, splicing was possible without problems.
