Abstract

PURPOSE:To greatly lessen the exchange frequency of a sheet part while preventing stains of a coating compound on a device main body by forming an insulating space between the sheet part and the surfacial parts of the device main body by covering the surfacial parts of the device main body with an insulating sheet part while placing air holding parts between them. CONSTITUTION:A sheet part 11 which is characteristic in this device is produced from an insulating sheet material having flexibility. While air holding parts 15 being placed between the surfacial parts 2S1, 2S2 of the device main body 1 near an electrostatic coating apparatus 6 as to form an insulating space 19, the surfacial parts 2S1, 2S2 are covered with the sheet part 11. The air holding parts 15 are also formed of an insulating material. Since the insulating space 19 is formed between the sheet part 11 and the side faces 2S1, 2S2 of the device main body 1 in this way, the sheet part 11 never has the same potential as the device main body 1. Furthermore, the sheet part 11 can prevent from the stains with a coating compound for a long duration due to the insulating space 19 even if the sheet part 11 is not thickened.

By the way, in the above-mentioned work coating apparatus, the arm portion 9 tends to be shortened in order to improve the movement performance and downsize the apparatus.
The charging section 7 is separated from the surface (side surface 2S, etc.) of the apparatus body 1 in the vicinity by only the coating distance (300 mm), and the apparatus body 1 is grounded. Therefore, the paint oversprayed from the paint spraying section 8 of the electrostatic coating machine 6 may be sucked and adsorbed on the surface of the apparatus main body 1.

However, in the work coating apparatus described above, the sheet member 11P has the same potential (earth potential) as the apparatus main body 1 during electrostatic coating, and the sheet member 11P has a short period of time. A large amount of paint easily adheres inside. In particular, when a large work such as an automobile body is continuously coated, the paint stains within a shorter period of time.
Therefore, it is necessary to frequently replace the sheet member (11P), which is troublesome.

In order to solve such a problem, it is conceivable to make the sheet member 11P particularly thick so as to enhance the insulation ability. However, since this increases the weight of the sheet member 11P and reduces the flexibility, the sheet member 11P is concerned. It takes a lot of time to cover the side surface of the apparatus main body 1 while bending 11P appropriately, which causes a problem in handling.

At this time, since an insulating space is formed between the sheet member and the surface of the apparatus main body near the electrostatic coating machine,
Even if the sheet member is thin, it does not have the same potential (earth potential) as the main body of the apparatus, and even if negative ions generated from the electrostatic coating machine adhere to the sheet member, they are prevented from escaping to the ground. . Therefore, even if paint particles oversprayed from the electrostatic coating machine fly toward the sheet member, they are effectively prevented from being repelled by the negative ions on the sheet member and adsorbed.

According to this embodiment, however, the side surfaces (2S1, 2S2) of the apparatus body 1 are covered with the insulating sheet member 11 via the space holding member 15, and the sheet member 11 and the apparatus body 1 are covered. Since the insulating space 19 is formed between the side surfaces (2S1, 2S2), it is possible to significantly reduce the frequency of replacement of the sheet member 11 while preventing paint stains on the apparatus body 1. In addition, the ease of handling is not reduced.

Further, since the space holding member 15 is made non-conductive, the device body 1 and the sheet member 11 can be completely insulated, and the sheet member 11 can be prevented from being soiled with paint for a longer period of time. As a result, the frequency of replacement can be dramatically reduced. Further, since the space holding member 15 is formed into a round bar shape, even if the sheet member 11 is tightly covered,
An excessive force is not locally applied to the contact portion with the space holding member 15, and the space holding member 15 is not damaged. Therefore, also from this point, the long-term use of the sheet member 11 can be ensured, the frequency of replacement can be drastically reduced, and the handleability can be improved.
