Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination of a measuring sheet, to simplify measuring procedures and to enable exact measurement by providing a resin sheet for measuring the area of a wound (heeling speed) with double transparent resin type sheets which are soft and are easily peelable. CONSTITUTION:For example, the thickness of the upper sheet of the double (two-layered) transparent resin sheets which are easily peelable is specified to 0.4mm+ or -0.2mm and the thickness of the lower sheet (skin side) to 0.2mm+0.1mm. Materials having soft properties to the extent of that the sheets are tightly adherable to the wounds of the various parts of a human body are used as the material. For example, transparent resins, such as soft vinyl chloride and urethane resin, are used for the upper sheet and, soft vinyl chloride, PET resin, etc., are used for the lower sheet. While the sizes thereof are not particularly limited, the sheets are generally formed to a size of about 275mm longitudinally and 200mm transversely. The rear surface sheet is provided in order to prevent the contamination and the front surface sheet in order to cut off the framed wound surface and to measure its weight.

2. Description of the Related Art A wound containing a pressure sore is epithelialized and healed through complicated processes such as wound contraction, granulation and epidermal formation. Measuring the area of the wound over time (healing rate) is one of the means for evaluating whether the environment (local / systemic) for promoting wound healing or the treatment was appropriate.

At present, as a method of expressing the size (area) of a wound, there is a case of displaying it by the long diameter (cm) × short diameter (cm) of the wound, which is widely used. However, the scratches are not limited to circles and rectangles and have complicated shapes, and with a major axis x a minor axis, it is not accurate and an image of the shape cannot be created. In calculating the area reduction ratio, the major axis x minor axis causes further inconvenience. Therefore, conventionally, in order to measure the area, a method has been used in which a transparent thin chemical synthetic material is used, and the shape of the scratch is copied and read on a graph paper. However, this method has a problem that it is hard to be used at the bedside because the reading time and human error are likely to occur.

The effects of the present invention are as follows. (1) Since the lower sheet with the dirt on the wound surface is peeled off and discarded, it is useful for preventing contamination. (2) The surface area can be accurately measured by measuring the wound surface (cm 2 ) by weight (g) and multiplying it by a coefficient. The product can change the coefficient by changing the thickness and specific gravity of the sheet. (3) The measurement procedure can be simplified. (4) The shape of the wound can be preserved with changes over time. (5) The material can be selected (selection by resin type, thickness, transparency, etc.). (6) It can also be sterilized (EOG, cobalt irradiation, electronic sterilization, etc.). (7) If there is no sterilization treatment, disinfect the back side before use with rubbing alcohol.
