Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a vacuum cleaner having a water pan for capturing floating particles of dust, confining dusts in such water that inhaled air turns the water and forms a water curtain on the side of an outlet for inhaled air. CONSTITUTION:This vacuum cleaner comprises: a pan 3 with water 7 for capturing dusts, an inhale pipe 11 for passing inhaled air through an air inlet 6 to the water surface, and a flange 13 attached at an end part 12 of the pipe 11 in a slanted state to the water surface. Since inhaled air gushes out from the side which is not blocked by the water 7 under the flange 13, it turns the water 7. This turning water runs up the flange 13 and falls down on the side ejecting inhaled air, forming a water curtain, which confines floating light particles of dust contained in inhaled air in the water.

2. Description of the Related Art In general, a dry type electric vacuum cleaner which collects dust by a filter such as paper or non-woven fabric is used to collect water by preliminarily putting water in a water pan (water tray) through suction air containing the sucked dust. Wet vacuum cleaners that are dusty are known. Unlike the dry type vacuum cleaner, this wet type vacuum cleaner does not cause local filter clogging, and theoretically can collect fine dust. In addition, the suction force does not decrease due to the increase in the amount of collected dust. FIG. 3 is a schematic partial cutaway sectional view of a main body of a conventional wet electric vacuum cleaner. An upper case 2 in which an electric blower 1 is installed, a substantially cylindrical water pan (water tray) 3, and the water pan 3 are shown. It is composed of the upper lid 4. The upper case 2, the upper lid 4 and the water pan 3 are watertightly combined by a clamp 5. The water pan 3 has a suction port body (not shown) for sucking intake air containing dust.
A suction port 6 to be further introduced is arranged with the discharge port 8 facing the dust collecting water 7 previously put in the water pan 3, and exhaust air reaching the electric blower 1 is provided at the center of the upper lid 4. A mouth 9 is provided.

When using a vacuum cleaner, the dust collecting water 7
The intake air containing dust will be struck and the dust will be captured. The relatively heavy dust contained in the intake air is easily contacted with water to be captured, but the light floating dust is difficult to contact with the dust collection water 7 and is therefore easily discharged as it is. Further, since the intake air is struck, the probability that the dust-collecting water 7 containing dust will repel and scatter becomes high, and the scattered dust-collecting water 7 may reach the electric blower 1. In FIG. 3, reference numeral 10 denotes a rod planted in the center of the water pan 3, which serves as a guide for the injection amount when the dust collecting water 7 is injected into the water pan 3.

As described above, in the conventional wet electric vacuum cleaner, relatively heavy dust contained in the intake air is likely to come into contact with water to be caught, but light suspended dust comes into contact with the water for dust collection. Because it is difficult to collect, it is easy to be discharged without being collected. It is an object of the present invention to provide a wet electric vacuum cleaner which eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional wet electric vacuum cleaner and is capable of sufficiently collecting light suspended dust.

The end portion of the intake pipe that guides intake air from the intake port to the water surface has a flange portion that is inclined with respect to the water surface and that the inclination direction is along the water pan peripheral surface. One end portion of the inclined direction of the portion and the one end portion of the flange portion at the end portion of the intake pipe is above the water surface, and the other end portion of the flange portion in the inclined direction is below the water surface. It is characterized by doing so.

In the wet electric vacuum cleaner constructed as described above, the flange portion is provided at the end portion of the intake pipe arranged in the substantially cylindrical water pan, and since the flange portion has the inclination, Discharging intake air containing dust introduced from the intake pipe toward the one with a larger opening area, that is, in the direction of the inclined end that is upward with respect to the water surface, with respect to the dust-collecting water that has been put in a fixed amount in a substantially cylindrical water pan in advance. Then, a rotational motion in the same direction is excited in the dust collecting water. This rotary movement of the dust-collecting water causes the part of the dust-collecting water to ride on the flange from the other end of the flange, that is, from the inclined end facing downward with respect to the water surface. A water curtain is formed from above the outlet. This curtain is continuously formed during operation of the vacuum cleaner.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS.
Will be described. 1 and 2 show essential parts of an electric vacuum cleaner related to the present invention, and FIG. 1 (a) is a schematic partial cutaway front view of a water pan 3 and its vicinity, FIG.
(B) is a schematic partial vertical side view of the water pan 3 etc. of (a) seen from the right side, and FIG. 2 is a schematic transverse plan view. 1 and 2, the same reference numerals as those in FIG. 3 indicate the same parts. Reference numeral 6 is the above-mentioned suction port, and an end portion 12 of the intake pipe 11 continuing from the suction port 6 is provided with a flange portion 13 that spreads outward. The flange portion 13 has a ridge 14 on one side in the center direction of the water pan 3, the flange portion 13 has an inclination with respect to the water surface of the dust collecting water 7, and the inclination direction is the water pan 3.

The one end of the flange portion 13 in the inclined direction and the vicinity of the one end portion of the flange portion 13 at the end portion 12 of the intake pipe 11 are above the water surface of the dust collecting water 7 and the flange portion. The other end in the tilt direction of 13 is configured to be below the water surface.

Therefore, the intake air containing dust is easily discharged in the direction in which the resistance to the dust catching water 7 is small, that is, in the upward direction of the flange portion 13 which is not blocked by the dust catching water 7, so that the substantially cylindrical water pan 3 is provided. The water for dust collection 7 is given a rotary motion. As described above, the water for dust collection 7 that has been given a rotational motion by the intake air has a high water level at the outer peripheral portion due to the centrifugal force thereof, climbs up from the downward direction of the flange portion 13, is guided to the ridge 14, and From the upper part in the upward direction of the portion 13, it flows down so as to cover the intake air, forming a water curtain.

This makes it easier for the dust-collecting water 7 to come into contact with the dust contained in the intake air, producing the effect of allowing the intake air to pass through the water, and dramatically increasing the collection efficiency. Further, since the dust catching water 7 is positively given a rotational motion, repulsion and scattering are also reduced. In addition, the water surface of the dust collecting water 7 in FIG. 1A shows a state in which the water is not rotating. The two-dot chain line in FIG. 1 (b) indicates the water surface raised by the rotation of the dust catching water 7, and due to the rotation of the dust catching water 7, a part of the dust catching water is the flange portion 1 as described above.
The lower end of 3 rides on the flange portion as indicated by arrow u, and passes through the upper surface of the flange portion and falls from the higher end portion of the flange portion as indicated by arrow v. Arrow w in FIG.
Indicates the discharge direction of the intake air, and the arrow x indicates the rotation direction of the dust collecting water 7.
