Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow one decoding section to receive data simultaneously from plural lines without the need for the cost by not decoding the facsimile code data but storing the data in a picture memory under the control of a main control section when an incoming call reaches other line during the reception through one line. CONSTITUTION:Upon the receipt of an incoming call from a subscriber telephone line, a line control section 15 automatically closes the line and a G3 communications control section 13 controls the communication to receive facsimile code data. A decoding section 16 decodes the data by a command of a main control section 11 and a recording section 17 prints out the data. Upon the receipt of an incoming call from an ISDN line during the reception from the subscriber telephone line, an ISDN line control section 14 and a G4 communications control section 12 receive the call. The main control section 11 does not decode the received facsimile code data but stores the data in a picture memory 18 and allows the decoding section 16 to decode the data stored in the memory 18 after the end of reception by the control section 13 and allows the recording section 17 to print out the data.
