Conventional technology and its problems Metal travelers used in spinning machines for spinning, twisting machines, etc. are required to have wear resistance under severe operating conditions due to sliding sliding on the ring flange surface at high speed. . Therefore, conventionally, in order to impart this wear resistance, the surface of a traveler made of hard steel wire or alloy steel wire is plated with nickel, chrome, or the like, or a plating film such as an electroless nickel / phosphorus plating film is formed, or a carbide diffusion infiltration treatment is performed. For example, lubricity and wear resistance have been imparted. However, under the recent high-speed and high-production system in the spinning factory, the coating hardness of the nickel plating is as low as Hv300 to Hv400, and the durability of the coating at high speed operation is short. Occurs.

Further, although the chrome plating has a hardness of Hv 800 or more, there is a problem that cracks are easily formed in the plating film and peeling wear is caused, resulting in abnormal wear of the traveler.

Further, as seen in JP-A-62-125024, a metal traveler formed with an electroless nickel-phosphorus plated coating having a hardness of Hv800 to Hv1000 by heat treatment has nickel, chromium due to the excellent wear resistance of the plated coating. Compared to plating, the service life of the traveler can be extended at higher speeds, but in ultra-high-speed spinning with a spindle speed of 18,000 rpm or higher, thread breakage due to insufficient initial conformability and increased friction resistance and friction. There is a problem that continuous long-time operation cannot be performed due to early seizure scattering of the traveler due to a rapid rise in heat and insufficient wear resistance due to abnormal wear.

Means for Solving Problems The present invention has been made to solve such problems.
That is, at least the thickness of 1 μm on the surface of the metal traveler made of hard steel wire or alloy steel wire in contact with at least the ring flange portion.
Forming an amorphous alloy plating layer of electroless nickel-phosphorus with a thickness of 15μ, and forming a film of crystallized nickel phosphide with hardness of Hv800 to Hv1000 by heat treatment, on the surface of which
By forming a synthetic resin film with a thickness of 2μ to 10μ containing a solid lubricant such as molybdenum disulfide, graphite, and metal powder, it has excellent initial familiarity and lubricity, prevents disturbance in traveler travel, and starts thread breakage. The problem was solved by providing a metal traveler for a spinning machine, which not only solves the problem of time but also has excellent wear resistance and durability and enables continuous operation.

1 (A) and 1 (B) show a metal traveler for a spinning machine showing one embodiment of the present invention, (A) is a plan view, and (B) is (A).
6 is a sectional view taken along line XX of FIG. (1) is a horizontal or vertical metal traveler molded into a required shape using a hard steel wire rod or an alloy steel wire rod, and is subjected to quenching and tempering treatments.
At least the surface (2) of the traveler that comes into contact with the ring flange is provided with a film of amorphous alloy plating by electroless nickel-phosphorus plating having a thickness of 1 μ to 15 μ, for example, 8 μ, and is subjected to heat treatment (about 350 ° C. for 60 minutes). A film of crystallized nickel phosphide (Ni 3 P) (3) of about Hv800 to Hv1000 is formed. On the surface of the above coating, a coating of a synthetic resin such as epoxy resin (4) selected from epoxy, Teflon, polyamideimide, polyester containing molybdenum disulfide as a solid lubricant is provided in a thickness range of 2 to 10 µ. The metal traveler for a spinning machine of the present invention is constructed by forming a composite coating.

As shown in FIG. 2, the metal traveler of the present invention having the above-described structure has a resin film having a low friction coefficient with an outermost surface having a hardness of Hv200 or less and a low friction coefficient, and the lower layer thereof has a hardness of Hv900 which is excellent in wear resistance. It has a composite coating consisting of the nickel phosphide coating of.

In the above examples, the thickness of the nickel phosphide plating film was set to 1 μ to 15 μ, but if it is less than 1 μ, sufficient durability cannot be obtained, and if it exceeds 15 μ, the plating film becomes rough and the traveler runs. This is not preferable because it may disturb the process, increase the processing time, and increase the cost.

The thickness of the synthetic resin coating is 2μ to 10μ, which is 2μ.
If it is less than 10 μm, a sufficient lubrication effect cannot be obtained, and if it exceeds 10 μm, the resin coating film is damaged during sliding, which may cause falling off, which is not preferable.

Test Conditions Yarn: cotton 40 's ring: Single flange ring flange width 3.2 mm × diameter 41mm spindle: 18,000 rpm Lift: 7 inches traveler: low center of gravity box-traveler (MS / hf6 / 0) Effect of invention The present invention is the Since the structure is adopted, the initial lubrication is improved by the excellent lubricating effect of the resin coating containing the solid lubricant of the outermost layer, and the reduction of the initial wear mark is achieved. The rapid seizure of the frictional heat due to the frictional resistance and the early seizure of the traveler and the scattering of the traveler were eliminated, and the time required for stabilizing the spinning tension was short and continuous operation was possible. In addition, the invention has the effect of significantly improving the life due to the synergistic effect with the nickel phosphide coating having wear resistance and durability of the lower layer.
