PURPOSE:To prevent contact with other components and generation of sound by a construction wherein a partition wall partitioning a refrigerating cycle into the indoor side and the outdoor side is formed in the shape of a flat plate substantially and the rear end of an electrical part is provided in proximity to the partition wall. CONSTITUTION:A base 1 is provided with a partition wall 2 partitioning the indoor side from the outdoor side. An indoor-side heat exchanger 3 and a multivane fan 4 are provided on the indoor side of the base 1, while a propeller fan 6 and an air guider 6 are provided in addition to an outdoor-side heat exchanger 5 on the outdoor side, and a refrigerating cycle is constructed of these components and a compressor 8. The partition wall 2 is constructed in the shape of a flat plate substantially by changing positions of legs of the compressor 8, by narrowing the lateral width of an electrical article 12 and by enlarging the depth.
