Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a telephone set by illuminating an operation button and a display device for a prescribed time only when the surrounding luminous intensity is less than the brightness that affects the operation of the telephone set when the operation button is pushed. CONSTITUTION:A portable telephone set or a radio communication equipment is provided with a surrounding luminous intensity measuring means 6.
