との出来る装置として、実開昭57−116303号公報に『上
ピンチロール用ロールポリシャー』が提案されている
が、ピンチロールを圧延(巻取)作業中に研磨出来る技
術としては未開発である。そのため巻き取られるべき鋼
帯の先端がピンチロールガイドに衝突してできる鋼帯先
端部のカエリが、かみこみ時ピンチロール表面に焼きつ
き疵をつくり、後続の鋼帯にその疵を転写することが多
発していた。

ンチロール回転に対する抵抗が大きく、ピンチロール駆
動電動機の定格負荷の50%程にも達するので回転速度が
低下し、巻き取り中であると仕上圧延機とピンチロール
間に張力が無くなり、ループができて正常な巻き取りが
できなくなる。(ロ)またそのために、ポリッシャーの
研磨能を低下(押付け力の減少等)させてピンチロール
駆動電動機への負荷を小さくすると、ピンチロールにで
きた疵を除去できなくなる。

間を省くためポリシャー装置8,9が考案されたが、研磨
中はピンチロール回転に対する抵抗が大きく、ピンチロ
ール駆動電動機の定格負荷の50%にも達することがあ
り、従ってピンチロール回転速度が低下し、ピンチロー
ル5,6と鋼帯1が接触し、巻取中であると仕上圧延機2
とピンチロール5,6間の張力が無くなり、ループが発生
し正常な巻取が不可能となる。逆にポリシャー研磨能力
を低下させ、ピンチロール電動機への負荷を小さくする
と、ピンチロール5,6に発生したきず11を除去できなく
なる。よって、ポリシャー研磨は巻取中以外のアイドル
中に行うことになるが、この方法によると、ピンチロー
ルきず11の連続発生は防止できるが完全には該ピンチロ
ールきずを防止できない。しかもピンチロールきず11の
殆どは鋼帯最先端1aが案内ガイド10に衝突した際発生す
るカエリ12が原因であるので、コイル全長にわたってき
ず13が発生することになる。

鋼帯の先端が巻取機用ピンチロールに噛み込み直後もし
くは直前からピンチロールを通過し巻取機に到達するま
で、ピンチロールに搭載したポリッシャーによりピンチ
ロールの研磨を行うことを特徴とする熱延鋼帯巻取機用
ピンチロールの研磨方法である。なお、上記ポリッシャ
ーにより研磨を行うとともに巻取中にも上ピンチロール
を前記鋼帯の上部に引き上げて研磨を続行するようにし
てもよい。

ールの周速の方が速く、そのためポリッシャーを押しつ
けて研磨するとピンチロールの回転速度が落ちるが、仕
上圧延機−ピンチロール間にはループが生じないことに
相到した。そうであれば、仕上圧延機を出た鋼帯の先端
がピンチロールに焼きつきを起こす巻き取りの初期にピ
ンチロール表面についた疵を研磨してしまえば、後続の
鋼帯にピンチロール疵を転写することは起こらないので
ある。

る。まず鋼帯1がピンチロール5,6にかみこむ前にポリ
シャー8,9を該ピンチロール5,6に接触、研磨している状
態で待機させる(第1図(a))。次に鋼帯先端1aがピ
ンチロール5,6にかみこみ、その際にピンチロール5,6に
焼き付く異物をポリシャー8,9で除去する。この時、ピ
ンチロール5,6は鋼帯通板速度よりも高速で回転してい
るので、ポリシャー8,9で研磨することによりピンチロ
ール周速が低くなっても、圧延機2とピンチロール5,6
間にループは発生せず、正常な巻取が可能である(第1
図(b))。ポリシャー8,9は鋼帯先端1aがマンドレル
7に到達するタイミングでピンチロール5,6から切り離
し研磨を中断する。

研磨すれば、上記問題点を伴なうことなくより完全に研
磨することが可能である。
