ブレーキ装置にかけられているブレーキFa、即ちブレー
キ装置の劣化を含めた張力制御装置よりの出力(ブレー
キ装置に指令する出力)とを比較し、FiとFaとの差が予
め設定された値を超えると、劣化又は異常と判定し警告
を発する。

定常状態でのブレーキトルクを計算し、更にこのブレー
キトルクを発生させるため必要なブレーキ装置8にかけ
る理論上の指令Fiを算定する。一方張力制御装置7よ
り、実際にブレーキ装置8にかけられている制御指令Fa
が劣化判定回路9に入力される。張力制御装置7は常に
走行紙の張力を一定にするように作動するため、ブレー
キ装置8が劣化すると、劣化を補なうように、ブレーキ
装置8に指令する。
