は、特に優れた効果を発揮するものであるが、保水能力
を高めるためには、スポンジとして大きな体積のものを
必要とし、その為一個のたわしでも厚さが５〜８センチ
メートルという大きくて嵩高なものとなるものである。
従ってこのような嵩高のスポンジ入りたわしを店頭に陳
列して並べたり、多数を箱に詰めて運搬するような場
合、或いは倉庫等に保管する場合等においては、全体と
しては軽量でも容量が大きい為に数量が限定され、又こ
れらの取扱いに多大の困難を伴い種々の面で不利である

入したので、乾燥時には、たわし袋とわたし芯体とは充
分なゆとりをもって全周にすきまを保有しているため
に、たわし全体は偏平薄形で、嵩が小さいために店頭に
陳列する場合、コンパクトに多数並べることが可能であ
り、またパッケジケース等に収容する場合も、従来の数
倍もの量を収容することができ、運搬及び保管等におい
て取扱いが便利となる。而もたわし全体を水に漬けると
たわし袋を通してたわし芯材が吸水してたわし袋の中で
膨脹するため所望の大きさのスポンジ芯入りたわしを即
