Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a following washed vehicle from clashing against a front washed vehicle from behind by stopping a conveying device through a control device when it is detected that the washed vehicle stops in a conveying section longer than fixed time. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle 7 is carried into an installation type car washing machine body 2 from its front side, and roller conveyors 3a, 3b to carry out the vehicle 7 behind the car washing machine body 2 are installed. The carrying out sections of the roller conveyors 3a, 3b are provided with safety shelves 24a, 24b, which are severally provided with photoelectric switch 29 to detect the vehicle 7 located in the carrying out section. In the case where the vehicle 7 is stalled in the carrying out section on account of a trouble, the photoelectric switch 29 detects the vehicle 7 longer than a fixed time. A control device 34 therefore urgently stops the rear conveyors 21a, 21b of the roller conveyors 3a, 3b, middle conveyors 20a, 20b and front conveyors 19a, 19b. A next carried vehicle 36 can thereby be prevented from clashing against the preceding vehicle 7 from behind.

The predetermined time means that the vehicle to be cleaned 7 has the optical axis 32.
The time required to pass by (that is, the vehicle to be washed 7
Is obtained by dividing the total length of the above by the conveying speed of the rear conveyors 21a and 21b), and some margin time (for example, several seconds) is added. The car wash main body 2 is provided with a timer (not shown) for measuring the predetermined time. Further, as shown in FIG. 4, a sonic sensor 35 for detecting the height and the total length of the vehicle 7 to be cleaned is provided on the front surface of the car wash machine body 2.

The operation of the above structure will be described below.
As shown by the solid line in FIG. 4, the vehicle to be cleaned 7 is a front conveyor.
Get on the starting points of 19a and 19b and stop. Then, the front conveyors 19a and 19b, the intermediate conveyors 20a and 20b, and the rear conveyors 21a and 21b are driven, and as shown in FIG.
The vehicle 7 to be cleaned is conveyed from the front conveyors 19a, 19b to the rear conveyors 21a, 21b via the intermediate conveyors 20a, 20b. During this time, the vehicle 7 to be cleaned is cleaned by the brushes 11, 12, 13 while being conveyed inside the car wash machine body 2 after the full length is detected by the sonic sensor 35, and the brushes 14, 15 are cleaned.
The wax is applied by the above and dried by the top nozzle 16 and the side nozzles 17. Then, the vehicle 7 to be cleaned is carried out to the floor 1 from the carry-out part (that is, the end part) of the rear conveyors 21a and 21b.

At this time, as shown in FIG. 3, the vehicle 7 to be washed out is detected by the photoelectric switch 29 because it blocks the optical axis 32, but it is detected between the light projector 30 and the light receiver 31 within a predetermined time. Pass through. As a result, the light from the projector 30 is transferred to the receiver 31.
Then, the optical axis 32 is re-formed and the photoelectric switch 29 becomes non-detected.

In the unlikely event that the vehicle 7 to be cleaned has the rear conveyor 21a,
If the vehicle to be washed 7 is stuck due to a trouble such as derailment at the carry-out section of 21b, the stuck vehicle 7 to be cleaned is blocked by the optical axis 32 and detected by the photoelectric switch 29. At this time, since the vehicle 7 to be cleaned remains stuck even after a predetermined time has passed,
The photoelectric switch 29 will detect the vehicle 7 to be cleaned longer than the predetermined time. As a result, the controller 34 causes the rear conveyors 21a and 21b, the intermediate conveyors 20a and 20b, and the front conveyors 19a and 19b to stop in an emergency. Therefore, the vehicle 36 to be cleaned next conveyed is prevented from colliding with the vehicle 7 to be cleaned previously conveyed and stuck.

Further, since the safety fences 24a and 24b are provided at the carry-out portions of the rear conveyors 21a and 21b, it is possible to prevent a person from unnecessarily invading the carry-out portions, and the safety is improved. Furthermore, since the photoelectric switches 29 are provided on the safety fences 24a and 24b, the columns for mounting the photoelectric switches, etc. are separately provided on the floor 1.
There is no need to install it in. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the problem that the operator inadvertently damages the photoelectric switch 29 and to simplify the design.
