(Prior Art) A belt / pulley type transmission device may be adopted as a rear wheel drive device of a motorcycle, but in such a transmission device, heat is generated due to friction between the belt and the pulley.

Especially in the continuously variable type, since the movable face moves in the axial direction with respect to the fixed face and changes the effective diameter of the pulley to perform continuously variable transmission, the belt also moves in the radial direction with respect to the wall surface of the pulley. However, heat generation is further increased. Therefore, a technique has been put into practical use in which a fin is attached to a drive pulley provided on an output shaft of an engine to function as a fan to generate an air flow inside the transmission case and cool the belt.

It is difficult for such a conventional technique to obtain a high belt cooling effect. That is, auxiliary equipment such as a starter is generally housed in the transmission case of the motorcycle, and therefore the space in the transmission case is larger than the storage space for the belt and the pulley, and the cooling air flows to parts other than the belt by the fan. It does not concentrate on the belt portion and the flow velocity of air becomes low, so that the belt cooling effect becomes low.

In such a technology, the inside of the transmission case is divided by a partition plate, the transmission case has an inlet for outside air intake on the drive pulley side, an air outlet is provided behind the driven pulley, and the outlet is behind the driven pulley. Since it faces the opposite side to the rotating direction of the pulley, the efficiency of discharging warm air in the transmission case is poor, and a large fan capacity is required as a countermeasure.

(Means for Solving the Technical Problem) The means for solving the above technical problem is to provide a driven case connected to a drive shaft and a driven shaft connected to a drive shaft in a transmission case provided in a traveling vehicle. In a belt type transmission device containing a pulley and an endless belt wound between the pulleys, an outside air intake fan is provided on one end surface of the drive pulley, and an outside air intake port corresponding to the fan is provided outside the transmission case. And an air discharge passage is provided downward from a position where the tension side belt located above the driven pulley is separated from the driven pulley, and a lower end of the air discharge passage is communicated with outside air below the transmission case. That is.

(Operation of the above means) According to the above means, the cooling air in the case flows from the driving pulley side to the driven pulley side, and in the driven pulley, the cooling air flows as the pulley rotates. It collides with the part away from the positive pressure, the positive pressure becomes high, and the air outlet in this part efficiently discharges the air in the case, so that the introduction of fresh air in the case and the exhaust air after cooling are efficiently performed as a whole. It Also, since the outside air is taken directly into the case by the fan, the cooling effect can be enhanced, and the exhaust port communicates with the outside air below the transmission case, so the air can be smoothly discharged by the suction effect of the running wind. To be done. Therefore, the cooling effect is further enhanced.

At the above, the crankshaft (10
The drive pulley (17) provided in the output part (102) of 1) rotates counterclockwise in FIG. 2, and the driven pulley (25) rotates in the same direction via the belt (27). Drive the rear wheels (6). The upper side (27) of the belt (27) is pulled to the left side in the figure on the tension side, and the driving force of the pulley (17) is transmitted to the pulley (25).
The lower side (272) is the loose side fed from the pulley.
Rotation of the fan (18) attached to the pulley (17) transfers outside air from the intake port (30) to the front space (S 3 ) of the case (15)
The air introduced inside is sent to the rear because the rotation of the fan (18) is counterclockwise, flows from the front to the rear in the space (S 1 ), and is between the pulleys (17) and (25). Cool the mounted belt. The air flows backward, flows in the counterclockwise direction around the driven pulley (25) at the rear part or as the driven pulley (25) rotates, and flows from above the pulley (25) to the front.

The air that flows around the pulley (25) flows through the wall (14
It is guided downward by 3) and the tension side (271) of the belt (27) moves away from the pulley (25) before this part.
On the other hand, fresh air is introduced from the suction port (30) and flows backward as described above, and collides in the vicinity of the wall (143) in the opposite direction. Therefore, the positive pressure becomes the highest in this portion, and the air discharge passage (31) is provided in this portion, and specifically, the discharge guide port (313) faces below the wall (143), and from here, the duct (311). Guided inside, discharged from the discharge port (314) to the outside, and approximately in the same direction as the air flow in the duct (311),
The air is discharged smoothly because it is curved to give it direction. Since the exhaust port is provided at the portion with the highest positive pressure in this way, the air in the transmission case is efficiently discharged, and the cooling air introduced into the case is quickly, smoothly and efficiently. Therefore, the cooling property of the belt can be improved. By the way, the auxiliary outlet (32)
Is to substantially expand the opening area on the exhaust side, increase the absolute amount of air discharged, and promote the introduction of air. When it is difficult to secure the opening area of the discharge port (31) due to the shape of the case, etc. Will be valid for. Further, since the discharge port (31) is dominant in discharging the air, the effect that the positive pressure of the air becomes highest in the vicinity of the wall (143) is hardly impaired.

In this embodiment, a hole (51) is provided in the above-mentioned portion of the cover (14) so as to traverse the cover, while the upper end circular pipe portion of the discharge pipe (52) having a square pipe cross section is provided in the hole (51). (53) is fitted and fixed by baking, etc., and the pipe (52) is arcuately downward so as to come in contact with the intermediate upper part or lower part of the front edge (148) of the circular bulging part (147) at the rear part of the cover (14). And the lower end (54) serves as the discharge port. The pipe (52) is baked and fixed to the surface of the cover (14).

(Effects of the Invention) As is apparent from the above, according to the present invention, the cooling air introduced from the fan into the transmission case flows from the driving pulley side to the driven pulley side, and the belt is cooled in the meantime, so that the driven pulley portion is cooled. As the airflow rotates, it becomes a rotational flow and changes its direction forward. The airflow collides with the air flowing from the front toward the driven pulley at the part where the tension side belt separates from the pulley, and at this part, Since the positive pressure becomes high and the exhaust port is provided at this portion, the air in the case can be efficiently exhausted. Further, since the outside air is directly taken into the case by the fan, the cooling effect can be enhanced, and the discharge port communicates with the outside air below the transmission case,
Air is smoothly discharged due to the suction effect of the running wind. Therefore, new introduction into the case and discharge after cooling are efficiently performed as a whole, and the cooling property of the belt in the case can be improved, and
Since it suffices to provide the above-mentioned outlet for the air in the case at the above-mentioned location and it is not necessary to employ a separate forced exhaust structure, the initial purpose can be achieved with a simple configuration.
